- In 2014 I had an idea to travel around Ireland and see if I could interview all the living men who had lifted the Liam McCarthy cup. Starting in my home county of Tipperary, I soon realised Noel Dundon had already beaten me to the punch. I had organised to meet Mick Murphy before I found out so went ahead with the interview. Mick was the first person I ever sat down and interviewed. For this I owe him a great debt of gratitude. Mick was a gentleman to the bone and we had many phone chats after I left his house in Thurles in late 2014. Mick sadly died in January 2018, so, I dug out the interview and put this little video together.
Thanks for showing the interview. I grew up reading about that great Tipperary team and also listening on the radio to the matches that they played .
Brilliantly done
