I've worked in security at airports and festivals and most of the women their are far worse than the men, yet men don't whine about hurtful words as where women do.

I worked in a Liverpool factory, down Park Lane for a couple of years, believe me, the girls in there could certainly hold their own as regards language. Made me blush a few times. 😊

Nothing has happened to his freedom of speech. Thinking anything different shows you don’t understand what freedom of speech is. He’s not being pursued by the government for expressing a political opinion. He’s being investigated for accusations of inappropriate behaviour in a workplace. End of. He’s only got himself to blame.
People thinking that Freedom of Speech is absolute are so wrong….Freedom of speech is NOT ABSOLUTE the UDHR was never written to be a legal document..it was written as a guideline for countries…and every country have clauses that prevent absolute freedom of speech/expression which depends on each country’s constitutional laws.
For the average working person,life is one constant struggle,my mother scrubbed floors in a children's hospital for 25 years,worked really hard for little money,recently got taken into hospital,got a a phone call to say she had a fall,2 hours later got another call to say she died I m heartbroken any you see these people get all this privilege and lots and lots of easy money and abuse it,and come from a place called lack of talent
The problem with any of this is where do you draw the line? Where exactly is the line between cheeky humour/banter and jokes that offend women? Impossible to know i.m.o. which leads everyone walking around treading on eggshells and a very dull, clinical workplace...

Obviously the majority think it's ok for people like him to talk to women anyway they want to without repercussions....maybe if you were spoken to like that i wonder what you would say then? Or if someone spoke to your partners that way, would you think that would be ok? It's inappropriate and yes action should be taken... it's called having respect.!

I agree that dialogue needs to change with time and what he has said is probably in poor taste but the fact this is such a massive story is testament to how broken the world is.

Everyone is entitled to voice their opinion…but….I’m not and never been a fan of reality shows including any bake off shows at all…I think they are just a waste of time or effort to watch, there are way too many judgmental people on them including presenters who become over exposed and end up full of themselves thinking they can say whatever they like…I’m also not interested in peoples abilities or how good they think they are including contestants or judges…but…this is nothing new nowadays because it has become a fad and a trend of calling people out including their behaviour on these shows and that’s thanks to the media and social media where people try to hold others to their questionable standards….there are a lot of people who will and do take things in the wrong context even if it is completely inoffensive because people have become so precious and easily offended especially on reality shows..the makers of the show are responsible for what goes to air..they have the ability to delete or re shoot scenes they determine is inappropriate….. and they often don’t because having something controversial will bring in the viewers for rating purposes but one thing they never do is complain when there is lewd or lascivious behaviour which has become acceptable on tv drama/comedy series and in movies….unfortunately this has become the era of ..cancel culture.
