- In just a few years, the listed company Jiawen Group has gone from obscurity to prosperity to decline and liquidation, and its market value has evaporated by more than 10 billion. The behind-the-scenes boss Ching Yat-Yin (Tony Leung) has also changed from a popular stockholder to a rat crossing the street that everyone shouts at.
Senior Investigation Officer Lau Kai-Yuen (Andy Lau) has been persistently searching for evidence during cross-border investigations for 15 years, consuming more than 200 million yuan in legal fees, only to discover that there is a case within a case, involving several lives and the entire high society of Hong Kong. Who can escape? Who will get out of the game?
Dah tengok!! It's from the same writer and director of Infernal Affairs. Andy Lau, Tony Leung and Charlene Choi did a fabulous job.
Leung is fabulous. Such a self-effacing man, yet he can play bombastic with the best of them. This looks amazing.

Feels like this movie needs to be 5hrs long to go through everything, looks promising though!
If there’s a 5 hour cut someday, im sure it’s better. Too many characters. Things get really murky. Plus for someone like me who dont understand the financial nitty gritty stuff, would have wanted a more mainstream device to help the audience. Instead, what we got was mainstream storytelling

Im Filipino and I was reslly excited that it’s showing in SG now while im on a vacation. Went and saw itz Extremely disappointed! For one it’s dubbed in Mandarin. We’re so familiar with his voice from the WKW movies and other films like Lust Caution, it’s weird to see his voice dubbed. It’s like you lose the soul of the performance

Watched it online aready… The ending is either stupid or lazy writing… overall the movie is quite good… but not till like super wow… won't have the feeling to watch it again… reading other commenters makes me wonder if they are sponsored or paid…
This was based on real life story and the real dude only got a wrist slap compared to the shit he did. Im guessing the producers don't want to exaggerate too much risk getting sued
