  • This is a video of a 2-day Kayak to Charleston South Carolina. I show some Oyster harvesting from a Kayak, and what it is like to hook into a big fish on a light set up. Then we bring the fish home (stingray) and attempt to make it into Faked Scallops. Does it work? You will Have to watch the Video and find out.
A simple DIY of Catch, clean, cook of a Southern Stingray.
Plus a short clip of cleaning oysters. Not sure I done it correctly.
    Thank u 4 watching.....

You seem like a good dude. Sorry for the hate you were getting. I always wondered about the stingray scallop story but I think you cleared that one up for me. Thanks man.

Thanks, I feel like we are Good people. This ray did not taste like scallops, but it is very good to eat. There are other types of rays that may taste different. The Southern stingray I believe is the most common. Thank u for watching and commenting.

Yeah you can freeze oysters, it makes them easy to open.
Down here it doesn't get much better than fresh shucked South Australian oysters.
My favourite is shucked and left covered in the fridge for a day or two until they get sticky..🤤

I hear people will take punches of the ray without filleting it first I was told you use a sharpened metal pipe. Do you know anything about this? I’m interested in trying it however I’m not great at filleting fish yet and stingray seemed too difficult for my skill level. I think you can use the rest of the carcass for crab trap bait too.

Fileting a ray is not that hard. Watch a video on how to do it, and you will do just fine. Don't waste your time with the metal punch. If you have not ate a Southern stingray yet, they are very good. It probably would make good Crab bait, but I have never tried that. Thank you for watching and commenting. I bet double hashbrowns from waffle house would go good with that
