After watching so many episodes you notice some patterns with this families. Women tent to give excuses to small dogs bad behavior and men tent to excuse big dogs bad behavior. Is not a rule, but you can easily see this happening in many episodes.
The cute small dogs are often seen as babies, whereas the bigger dogs tend to be a reflection of the man; this is why women can't bare scolding their "baby" and the men often refuse to have their "other half's" balls removed. This isn't the case for every dog, of course. In this case, though, their dog is a medium-sized dog. Also depends on which one gets the dog which is usually the same thing. Men don’t like small dogs because their girly and energetic and stuff, and women don’t like big dogs because they are scary and hard to deal with. When really both problems can be solved with training.
Loved this episode. A misunderstood dog in a loving family. The dog just needed an outlet for her to be her true terrier self, and the family just needed some knowledge.
There is absolutely no way this family could walk her at their place enough to properly wear her out. When my terrier was a puppy I'd take her for a two hour hike off lead and she still would have energy.
It's always wonderful to see genuine owners who really love their dog and just want to help it. Major kudos to them for rescuing that dog and giving her a second chance. I'm glad it's paying off for them. :)
"The change in her is amazing"... well, you've gone from hating the dog to getting accused by your wife of stealing her dog, so I'd say you changed more than the dog did.
OMG You're spot on! The young man Jason did change literally like night and day! When I watch these episodes of Victoria Stilwell I can't help but think how smart dogs truly are and just how fast they can learn, once people start teaching them and spending time with them! Well, he never asked for the dog in the first place, and when all these changes were happening, he was changing as well. I felt bad for Jason and did not blame him for not wanting to put in the work since nothing they knew worked and again he did not want the dog to start with and there were pretty much nothing but problems. Most people are willing to put in all kinds of work if they are given advice that will actually work and is presented to them in the right ways.
I love when Victoria says "from now on you can't let Lottie of the lead until you've achieved at least a semi reliable recall" and they just stare at her silently nodding, calmly accepting the criticism not once challenging her:- "but it was you that let her of the lead miss" . Now that's what you call good training.
She's been overconfident about the "rabbit skin covered sock" (or whatever that thing was), considering she hasn't got a dog's nose, but that's the only miss from her I've seen in a dozen episodes. A lesson to us all : rely on our skills more than on our success percentage
Seeing the family having a blast in the backyard with Lottie made me so happy! I loved the part when the dad was cracking up at her as she zipped around the garden and into her tunnel! Both, the dog and the owners are lovely! Lottie is such a beauty. But I highly doubt that she became completely unproblematic for ever after. But the change after just a few weeks of training is very impressive! Giving a dog it's very own sandpit is a great idea.
When you adopt a dog you always have to be prepared to face problems that can't be completely solved and adapt, even more with a rescue. For example most hunting races can't be let free in the forest because they can't help but hunt, so eather you keep it in leash or buy GPS collar, or don't go to the forest...
I used to have a sandpit for my pups but the neighborhood cats used it as a potty place so I have to get rid of it. Agility courses really helped with my dogs and it made them much more relaxed when I have to leave them alone at home.
It’s so nice to see this kind of love and devotion from pet parents. They really put in the care and effort to make this right, even the dad who was so frustrated with her initially.
Victoria! I have watched your show for years. You inspired me to work in a kennel when I was able to work, and because of that I found my best friend, my Siberian husky bloo. He was extremely skinny from running and not stopping, he had a terrible trash problem, and i couldn't even trust him off the leash in the yard so for two years he had been on a tether leash. Recently I've built up my trust in him and with him because of you and he finally comes back to my whistle without running off too far and he no longer jumps our fence. Thank you for improving our huskies life and for giving him freedoms I never thought would be possible. You are gold!
Actually one of the best families I have seen in this show . They understood so quickly what the problem was . The husband was not annoying, actually very gentle and peaceful. The dog is lucky ❤️
Such a great dog! She’s a prime example of how great terriers can be, but also of how ridiculously tough it can be to channel all that drive. And these guys have done wonderfully!
When I first adopted my pup I didn't realize terriers were high energy😅 fortunately after months of training myself and my pup we both now live happily ever after
He did not really ask for the dog in the beginning and with all the problems and not knowing what to do it all just, um, spiraling out of control I get why he acted the way he did. His wife was frustrated about her putting in basically all the work, but she was the one who really cared about the dog from the get go.
I love watching the whole family playing in the yard! They’re so sweet together. The kids crawling through the tunnel with Lottie, the parents digging in the sand pit with her, and just having fun is so wonderful!

My greyhound loves having a dig in the sandpit.
Lottie is so hilarious 🤣 I was dieing at everything she did 😅 especially when she spins 😂
I’d love a dog like Lottie
This has to be my favorite episode so far, just seeing how happy the family is towards the end is amazing💖
COMING OUT OF MY CAGE AND I BEEN DOING JUST FINE
- Lottie, probably
Victoria is such a good trainer she stopped a whole dognado
Lottie: *Spinning*
Lotties Owners: Stop it!

Well done you watched the video 🥇

When I first adopted my pup I didn't realize terriers were high energy😅 fortunately after months of training myself and my pup we both now live happily ever after
Lottie is behaving like a hyper child. Just a young puppy. Victoria to the rescue!! ❤
A big compliment for this family. You all did it 👍. You all can be proud of yourselfs.

This is my favourite episode from this show. I love the dad's transformation. And Lottie is the cutest cutie pie ever to cute.
Victoria made a great change for Lottie and her family. Wonderful what a bit of training can do.
“I’m glad to hear she isn’t bored.”
That dog is bored out of its mind 😂
Yep my first thought too.
Sarah and Victoria: * being sad bc the homeless dogs *
Jason: * staring intensifies *
🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣
He did not really ask for the dog in the beginning and with all the problems and not knowing what to do it all just, um, spiraling out of control I get why he acted the way he did. His wife was frustrated about her putting in basically all the work, but she was the one who really cared about the dog from the get go.
OMG WHO MADE THIS THUMBNAIL!?! *I love it*

I love watching the whole family playing in the yard! They’re so sweet together. The kids crawling through the tunnel with Lottie, the parents digging in the sand pit with her, and just having fun is so wonderful!
I'm teary eyed. I was rooting for this pup and the family. I love it when a family works hard together using Victoria's tools. It's very inspiring.
The part where they're all playing out in the back with the sandpit and tunnel is so heartwarming..you can tell that's all they've wanted
Just imagine having 10 dogs that are like lottie. then that will mean there will be 10 tornados.
I love seeing Jason's excitement when he plays with Lottie.
Lovely. Just lovely. Beautiful show. Bravo Ms Stilwell: the Mary Poppins of dogs.
This episode is extremely wholesome and made my cheeks hurt from smiling. So happy for this beautiful family !
