Spot on about hunting the roost the last couple days of the season. Can make for a helluva good shoot. Another good tip, when you find the spot they’re hitting in a field, bring a wood stake wrapped in reflective tape and hammer it into the spot the night before the hunt. Makes it A LOT easier to get setup the next morning.
BobbyGuyFilms anytime. Love the channel. Wish videos like yours were around 20 years ago when I got into this game. Feel free to reference my stake tip in one of your videos.
I’m going to Mizzou next year and will be trying to get permission to hunt private fields for geese around the Columbia area. When should I start scouting and asking permission?
What is your best recommendations for scouting from a boat I'm planning to use my boat this year to get to some of the public land it's only accessible by boat we will not be hunting from the boat though
Great video! I got a quick question...this past season while scouting, the geese would get off the roost and they would go in tons of different directions and I always had a tough time figuring out which flocks to follow. Any info would be great, thanks!!

This past year in North Dakota my "backyard" was the X for canadas but it only lasted for 2 weeks. I only hunted them 1 weekend but it was a blast.

When should you start to scout? How close to the season or when you are going to go hunting?
Josh Dull start a week before season opens, bud. But focus on what you see the last 2-3 days before opener.

When this happens I will sit a little farther away from the roost and just see where the largest group goes
BobbyGuyFilms bobby alright I will give that a try next season, thanks!
Hey dude. Any tips for scouting early season honkers?
Our early season is a lot dif from up north
BobbyGuyFilms yeh I’m sure it is. But I’m out of NC lol
How do you know you found a roost
Looks l like a dream catcher
If it’s the last day of the season, that’s when you blow up a roost, big time.
Can you hunt a field to close to a roost? I have a field with a lot of geese but it is 1/4 mile from the roost
When it’s extra cold close fields to roosts pretty well
Haha you said Fred. Jinx
lmao horse and buggy
