Thank you for the video. Anyone else has the same issue with comment picker? I noticed that even though there should have been 23 comments (excluding duplicates), comment picker recognises only 19 of them. Why is that? Those 4 comments have tagged one person as they should have done.
In comment picker I ticked the boxe of "exclude duplicates" and chose mimimum amount of @ as "1"
I actually had 5.149 comments at my last giveaway, and I barely reached 5K people... so as unexpected as it was, this was such a helpful video. Thank You 😂👌🏼

Hi Morgan, this was awesome, but what if your winner is based on the amount of tag entries they submit? Is there something that adds the amount of entries our participants tag?

I guess you can generate 2 random numbers, right? Using getcombo.com
You would have to run the report for the various accounts/people involved, download and combine those spreadsheets, then pick a winner from there. Hope that makes sense!

I did a give away and used your random give away picker.... It picked a friend of mine. Do you think i should redo it?
It's up to you. People might thing you are just choosing your friends, that's why I recommend recording when the picker picks so that way people can have full transparency. If you don't feel good about it (even though you obviously were fair), I'd just pick another.
Business accounts don't let you have music, so that's something to think about.

Just pick a day every week and stick to it, even if your videos aren't getting that many views. Eventually the YT algorithm will reward you and it will FINALLY pay off.

YAY! thank you for this video! Im literally doing a giveaway now for getting 300 followers on my craft page. I think the comment picker one will be the best for me, BUT a lot of the people who commented are family and friends so hopefully no one thinks that cheating!
When our accounts are smaller, a lot of our followers are friends and family at first. I wouldn't feel bad if one of them gets picked. Just record your screen when you pick the winner so that they know you did it fairy and didn't just pick your friends. :)

There was a competition on a channel a few days ago. The first correct answer wins the prize. I was the first to answer correct. The channel owner replied to my answer around 4-5 hours later in the comments section. Asking if I was from his country.
Later that day I went and checked if I had won. I saw his comment re if I was from his country to which I replied yes. I did find the comment weird as he could have just clicked on my channel to check where I was from.
However a few comments down another person had answered correctly but a few hours after my correct answer. The channel owner immediately had responded to his comment and said he was the winner and to send address details. He didnt ask him if he was from the same country as him. I found this to be extremely unfair and I replied to his comment advising that what he did was unfair and was not honuring a fair competition policy. He didn't even bother replying back to me. Instead he listed the other guy as the winner.

Do not do the Instagram comment picker. It is so scammy. I ended up giving out my credit card info to some random game that was an ad posed as the sign up! Never did figure out how to even log in, because there are so many ads you can’t even find anything! This video should be removed.

Yes I think having a video (pre-recorded or love are both fine) showing you hitting the button to pick a winner is great for transparency for your audience! And it only takes 30 seconds to do!

So useful! How would you filter location? I mean, I can only ship for free in my own country, but I don't know how to apply a filter so as not to announce a winner that lives elsewhere and didn´t consider the distance issue..thank you!!
You wouldn't be able to filter by location. You'd just have to specify in your rules that it is for X country only, then pick a winner and verify that they are in the country via DM before announcing. If they are not, select another winner.
