  • In this video, we compare and demonstrate two different trigger modes for nail guns: bump firing and full-sequential firing. With full-sequential firing, the controls have to be actuated in a series, which includes pressing the safety tip and pulling the trigger to release a single fastener. On the other hand, contact firing, or "bump firing," allows the user to quickly press the safety tip against a surface to continuously fire nails without having to release and reactivate the trigger. We showcase the advantages and disadvantages of both modes to help you determine which is best for your project. And not to mention a few tools with both firing types, or Selective Triggers. Watch and learn how to properly and safely use these trigger modes for your next DIY or construction project.
