For me, "Black Star" was, is and will always be one of the greatest songs Yngwie ever made in the 80's...great to see and hear this great cover version too! Cheers and hails from Finland!
he is really good, but I'm guessing you don't realize how many great players are out there lol. There are many people who were playing this song as good or even better back in the 80's. And they're still playing now! So they're even better now.
True. He is not the best but very good. If you compare him to 80s guitar players he is great. These new post metal bands just suck so when I hear a guy play it brings back memories to the glory days of the music I grew up on
Cheers mate! Not sure why 20 people would give a thumbs down brother but i thought it was a killer cover man!! This is a very hard song to nail so I say Cheers bro!!
You have no idea how much pleasure I derive from watching this video. "Black Star" has been my favorite Yngwie Malmsteen song since I first heard it on a demo tape that was circulating in the San Francisco Bay Area back in the early 1980s. My smile did not stop growing as I watched this video, all the way to the flourish at the very end.
It makes me very happy to see that you're place seems to have not been affected by the earthquake or the tsunami! Also, this is off the one Yngwie CD I own/like and man, this is incredible, as always. It's great to see you're ok!
forever forgoten you have to have a fender strat or another guitar where your volume knob is close enough so you can turn it up and down as you play. Makes a violin like sound. They're called "volume swells"
+Barraco Barner in my opinion I think Jimi Hendrix is the best. He's influenced about everyone. If you don't like Hendrix, it's most likely your favorite guitarists are influenced by his work. Stevie Ray Vaughan, mike McCready, and John Frusciante are some other amazing guitarists worth checking out
micheal man just improvise in e minor like yngwie does on the volume swell part and learn the song it's alot of work and may take like 25 yrs but worth it:)!
he does, but he uses delay and goes down the scale like C B A G - B A G F - etc. (in a minor eg.) like these fours. he does 2 notes with the volume knob and then comes the delay (but he still does the volume knob thing. i think he shows it in echo etude. hope you understood
i dont remember how its called..but he actually picks the notes and he plays with the volume knob...and creates the feeling of an violin..(if you search in internet guitar violion technique there will be plenty of lessons) hope this helps
@ordepcbmt Its a malmsteen signature with dimarzio pups. the new ones (the one i have) come with seymour pickups and they sound great! the dimarzios are a bit more agressive though.
oh sorry the example is not from black star, the pattern is something else here, what i said was in the solo from 1984 with alcatrazz, but the technique with the delay is the same
For me, "Black Star" was, is and will always be one of the greatest songs Yngwie ever made in the 80's...great to see and hear this great cover version too! Cheers and hails from Finland!
it's an anthem for all serious guitarists
This dude is one of the best damn guitar players out there. You are the real deal man. Keep it up
he is really good, but I'm guessing you don't realize how many great players are out there lol. There are many people who were playing this song as good or even better back in the 80's. And they're still playing now! So they're even better now.

Allen Lichner you must be listening to the wrong bands then. listen to Dream Theater and you'll change your mind
I will give you that. Dream Theater is a great band. I am talking about hip hop rap crap and Death Metal
Allen Lichner yeah for sure I know what you mean. The majority of music and the people who are making the most money are crap. I don't get it.
His picking technique is flawless. He truly is a beast.
いやー、すごい。なぜここまで完璧にコピーできるのか?まるで、世界の七不思議のようです。
This dude's ability to mimic the texture, feel, and intonation of great guitarists is unparalleled. Incredible. I'm constantly blown away by Satsuma.
you must have one hell of an ear to pick up every nuance of Yngwie's version like that.
spot on, man. This is almost a live version carbon copy of the man himself. Amazing
your picking is sooo fluid, i love it! congrats!
3:36 always loved that note...it makes the entire song imo. AWESOME job dude!!
your technique is amazingly Jedi!🎸🔥⭐️
Cheers mate! Not sure why 20 people would give a thumbs down brother but i thought it was a killer cover man!! This is a very hard song to nail so I say Cheers bro!!

懐かしい気持ちになります。
ボリューム奏法やばいですね
I've been checking out your videos man. The Accuracy, Temperance and Fire of your playing humbles me. You, my dear Sir, are truly a Master!

You are _such_ a master. A joy to listen to.
うお!!! 本物とシンクロしてる(汗) 凄まじい・・。
Hi Man!! How do you set up the delay for that part with quick volume swell and decay? thanks!
I think it's 1/8 (aprox. 420ms)
Você por aqui mano ! Sou teu fã !
best cover out there, really liked that violin sound at 00:27
You did an awesome cover with a nice logical conclusion, cheers!
the volume thing is perfect!!
That was a perfect cover. Time for me to get practicing. AMAZING.

You missed a note.

VERY COOL !! i liked it im a classic guitarist
Jaw dropping playing & amazingly accurate!
I am amazed by this guitarist! Very inspiring and so versatile!
amazing playing, i'm learning this myself at the moment :P
Most Excellent
YES!
This is just straight up badass.
That leather jacket you're wearing feels very appropriate for the song.
You have great Vibrato and Violining technique.
yeah but his vibrato isn't as slow as Yngwie's. His is a bit too fast and nervous.
Rusty Shackleford how do you even do violining on guitar?
forever forgoten you have to have a fender strat or another guitar where your volume knob is close enough so you can turn it up and down as you play. Makes a violin like sound. They're called "volume swells"
that makes sense.
Bravo!
just perfect best cover on youtube
It was fantastic!
Epic, your vibrato is simply stunning.
This is very good! And is it my imagination or is he sitting in a chair in a restaurant?? I want to eat there!

I dont know what to say ..... this is great playing but am more than a bit jealous of your hands and your guitars :D damn !
Awesome!
Absoloutely amazing skill
Trying to learn this song song is really starting to piss me off! Especially those volume swells. Should just stick to the blues
+Danilo Santos at the time but I didn't practice it enough so I've completely forgotten it
+Danilo Santos This is maybe the easiest Malmsteen song btw
+Barraco Barner in my opinion I think Jimi Hendrix is the best. He's influenced about everyone. If you don't like Hendrix, it's most likely your favorite guitarists are influenced by his work. +hawkwind honestly I haven't played metal I a long while/ I've taken to blues and playing like Hendrix for quite a while now
I just saw Yngwie a few days ago, and you sound very similar to him
tu é bom guerreiro de selva !!!

Great playing!!!!!!
Absolutely superb.
he does, but he uses delay and goes down the scale like C B A G - B A G F - etc. (in a minor eg.) like these fours. he does 2 notes with the volume knob and then comes the delay (but he still does the volume knob thing. i think he shows it in echo etude. hope you understood

I hope you take requests, cuz I'd REALLY like to see you play Schenker or Lifeson....that would be EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Job !!!!
Perfect set up, bend and vibrato. Well tunned, but the sustain is a little bit low.
On point... Have no words
he doesn't misses notes, sometimes he plays an extra note by mistake
It's a eddie van halen's technique. Listen Cathedral from Diver Down album.
Dude says you have no soul, what a joke, Wanna see someone match this souless display of excellence then!
Wow! Ur very impressive
amazing
Buenisimo!!
i dont remember how its called..but he actually picks the notes and he plays with the volume knob...and creates the feeling of an violin..(if you search in internet guitar violion technique there will be plenty of lessons) hope this helps
wow!!!!
