Hey everyone! This is Anne and Raven, on the KQED Arts account. Thank you for watching. What do you think about adding an Indigenous perspective to hip-hop styles? Drop your thoughts in comments below. Thanks!
My people!!! This is one of the next evolutionary steps in the dance culture. Change is constant and if you want to help guide the evolution you have to be at the bow of the ship looking forward just as the both of you are. Both of you have earned your place at the bow because you have dedicated the time it takes to know what is at the stern of the ship looking back. Thank you for all of the positive and inspiring things you do for our dance culture. Much Love.
Honestly, as a Mexican who is enamored with ancient cultures...this is a desecration to your culture..furthermore as a Mexican who migrated to Texas and has worked through out the Unites States..i am soooo frkn tired of the word oppression....
Aunque tengo 68 años me encantó el vídeo. Tremendo talento de esos 2 jóvenes y los demás que también danzaron,"FELICIDADES"a todos👍aplausos👋y saludos🖐🏽desde Puerto Rico🇵🇷
Man, that drum beat with the mc chanting and people crip walking, breaking, was dope! It made my feet tickle and wanted to dance in my small place between my bed and wall. Imagine with a bad ass sound system!! Love this. Shout outs from Villa de Alvarez, Colima, México.
This is beautiful! Everything is interwoven together from our dreams to dance to our relationships with others and nature. It makes me tearful watching as I see Native Americans from my mother’s side (from her reservation there in New Mexico) being represented. She was Apache and Navajo with dad being also German and Irish. I’m so grateful for the love and her influence that has played a huge role in my life and that of my daughter’s.
Couple dancers are so... Elegant and beautiful. It really doesn't matter what kind of dance it is. 2 people (not necessarily has to be male and female ) feminine and masculine energy together create this unique beauty or vision of unity.
Thank you for sharing your love and your culture with us. I'm so thankful to have you both in my life. You have inspired me and lifted me up and taught me so much. Its a blessing to have you in our community. Thank you so much and this video is freakin DOPE!!! Makes me proud to be in the 505 with y'all
I met an Indian woman several years ago in Tucson not sure what tribe ,I remember her as being probably the most beautiful person I've ever known OMG so lovely

Just another thing African Americans will accuse you have stealing from them..
@@raulrodriguez5073 no they won't shut up.
Hip hop heals the colonized indigenous worldwide 🙏🏾💜
Anything Native people do that encourages strength, health, and inspiration, I love it. More power.
Even at the cost of desecrating thier culture and " stealing the African American" one?
@missee doodle que gran insulto?! Did you come up with it on your own?..hope u didnt get a headache...

Very talented dancers, but this seems more contemporary than native american or hip hop 🤔. I do both styles. But great job nonetheless 👏
