As someone who grew up watching NASCAR as a kid, the wreck at 2:34 is extremely realistic for racing back in the late 90s/early 2000s...back before they safety proofed everything to the extreme like NASCAR today.

I doubt it since AI won't drive like this in freemode. They either run from you, chase you, or drive normally.
Most likely just a scenario or a pre-made route for the AI
