Thank you X 100...I am an 83 yo "artist" who thinks she is "40"... you and Clarissa have said what so many "old..women ..artists"think and feel. I am just an artist. I have worked in so many mediums, but the world really has tried to box me in. what medium do you use?? Is that a craft or art? When are you going to act like a normal old lady LOL I follow both of you and you have given me great inspirations. I will create as long as God leaves me here!!
This conversation about women artists, fibre art, reminds me of a fantastic and fascinating book by Clare Hunter, Threads of Life. It was a Sunday Times best seller. I loved and was infuriated, in equal measure of our history, something to be inspired and motivated by and keep our stitching language visible. Thank you for this wonderful conversation, as I sit and hand stitch.
Thank you, wonderful conversation and big thank you Ang, you have such a lovely curious enthusiastic way of simply talking to people and enquiring about them, authentically rather than just asking questions. So warm and friendly.
So enjoyable. I took notes at the end because I am of an age that I feel compelled to keep doing art until I can't. On the one hand it takes courage to keep on, but the fear of not creating is larger for me. (As Anna said, "What would you do? Watch television?") Thank you both for speaking to this topic which is near and dear to my heart. As an aside: I have been attending the Houston Internation Quilt Festival almost since it began. I have the greatest respect for the creators. I also have a such a resentment that quilting (and/or fiber work) is still often misunderstood and pegged as "women's work", as if that somehow is less than. Less than male work? It feels to me that if quilting/fiber art were predominated by men, the work would be selling for millions. and more appreciated for the art it is. We have far to go. I truly enjoyed seeing Anna's work and hearing her speak about her process. Thank you.
Truly a most amazing journey, and introduction to an artist that worked her way into many hearts and minds... the artwork speaks gently of loss and death, but shares a wonderful creative drive and creativity that is both inspiring and magical, with a salute to her unique and passionate work. Thank your Anna... Bethany in Kingston, ON
Ang, I always love your interviews…you’re so very good at it with your bubbly personality. Your idea to bring in Clarissa was very unexpected and so cool to have her ask questions of Anna and then the two engage with each other! Loved it! Bravo!! I'm in the US (NY time zone) so have to watch the replay…but I look forward to it every weekend. Thanks for all your hard work behind the senses and on screen! ❤❤❤
Thank you for introducing me to another wonderful artist!

Absolutely love Anna Wagner-Ott's work!!
Keep this up. This series gives me a boost every time I watch. And these two artists in particular were a gift.
