- The 31st Dynamic Time-Lapse or Hyper Lapse of my Channel. And the Tenth Time-lapse of most awaited Kolkata Suburban Network. This time,The well known 'Crcular Line" of Kolkata with belongs to Sealdah Division, running From Dum Dum Jn to Dum Dum Jn via Majerhat, Viewing towards Right of train direction.
The Journey of this video is shot in two different trains, One from
Dum Dum Jn to Majerhat via BBD Bag, and another from Majerhat to Dum Dum Jn via Ballygunje Jn. Since, at the time of shooting the videos, there was no direct link available that usually connects the circular Line with Budge Budge - Sealdah Line at Majerhat, due to the unfortunate incident of Majerhat Bridge Collapse in September 2018.
Currently, the link has been restored back and there exist trains
that run Continuously from Dum Dum jn to Dum Dum Jn via Majerhat, with 2 different Service Numbers.
The Station en-route after Dum Dum Jn in Anti-clock direction are Patipukur, Kolkata, Tala, Bagbazar, Sovabazar Ahirtola, Burra Bazar (Bada Bazar), B.B.B. Bag, Eden Gardens, Princep Ghat, Khidderpore, Remount Road, Majerhat, New Alipur, Tollygunje, Lake Gardens, Ballygunje Jn, Park Circus, Sir Gurudas Banerjee Halt, Bidhannagar Road and Dum Dum Jn.

I think you should slow the timelapase down where the train was running along the river Hooghly and Millennium park beside it. For a significant distance, the circular line runs parallel and very close to the river and below the first and second Howrah Bridge.
I hv very fond memories of circular railway since my childhood as my home was very very near Burrabazar Railway Station now I hv shifted to Salkia Area of Howrah just opposite to Ahritola Ferry Ghat but still the honking of EMU Rail on circular railway route as it passes by can be clearly heard from my home and can be very clearly viewed from terrace of my Appartment.

Is Kolkata station the main station for the outstation trains which come from other parts of India or is the main station sealdah
Kolkata is one of the 5 terminals for long distance trains terminating in Kolkata. It opened in the early 2000s. The primary terminals are Howrah and Sealdah along with the smaller ones at Santragachi and Shalimar. Historically only Howrah and Sealdah were the main termini, but owing to their overcrowding, the other terminals were developed. Kolkata also happens to be an international station with Maitree Express to Dhaka and Bandhan Express to Khulna, Bangladesh.

They are stations or bus stops!! Distance between two stations are very less
Because It's purely Suburban and local route for city travel...
Since it is an old corridor, its a Part of Indian Railways, otherwise it would have been Metro route if it was erected in recent time.
These stations are in fact extremely close together as it passes through an extremely dense area population wise, and also because they connect directly to the old Central Business District of Kolkata such as BBD Bag and Burrabazar, all of which happen to be locaties extremely close by. Also, if I'm not mistaken, Tollygunge and Lake Gardens stations are the closest railway stations in India, pf end to next stn pf beginning distance of less than 500m. You can practically see the next station from the previous.

There used to be Services upto Biman Bandar, but it's now closed.
its closed due to metro rail will be replaced instead of the local train
