    I've had my f440e for several months now, I'm a complete beginner at embroidery, I loved your explanation for getting started, I wish I had found something like this when I first got my machine. It sat in the box for several weeks before I dare do anything on it. My supplier is excellent but with lockdown etc I'm not Able to book classes to help me, but she's really helpful and I can even ring the shop and she'll advise me if I need to pick her brains about anything. On the whole I love the machine, I just need to understand it a bit better e.g stabilizer, needles sizes and thread . But I have had some great results once I crack it ! Lol

    This is probably the best videos I've seen on this topic. Saves me time, resources and the agony I would have gone through lol. But just a quick question though, could you explain to me in simple terms the reason for the two different threads (the small white one inserted inside the small compartment and the bigger one at the top of the machine with a blue cover)? It's obvious the bigger thread is changed as the job proceeds, then what happens to that smaller white thread? Was it changed at any stage or it remained that like? Apologies it's a noob here. Thanks once again for this wonderful tutorial.

    • @EchidnaClub
      @EchidnaClub  10 месяцев назад

      @goodkarma5000 The small white thread is the bobbin and the larger thread is the top embroidery thread. One catches the other in the mechanism to form a stitch. Both have to be refilled or changed if they run out.

    • @EchidnaClub

      Hi Mariam, The thread usage depends entirely on the type of design being stitched - a satin stitch is more dense than a redwork for example.

      I am sorry Mariam, we are only able to give you a price on how much thread is per centimetre (ie. at $6.95 for a 1000m spool = $0.0000695 per cm). You can not predict the amount of thread you are going to use as this depends on the design you are stitching out.

    • @EchidnaClub
      @EchidnaClub  3 года назад

      Hi Sarah, the F440E is a great machine for embroidery. It doesn't have automatic tension as such, the tension is set to a particular setting and generally as a rule, you do not have to adjust the tension. Of course, it is a sewing/embroidery machine and can behave differently with different threads or fabric. It is easy to work it out and our staff are on hand for any problems or questions :)
