Gorgeous video, both. It’s a lovely drive. I use Corran ferry regularly and you’d be surprised just how many vehicles they can pack onto her!
If you have a large M/H, do not use the Kingairloch route to Lochaline - it does join up but has a very narrow, twisty and rocky section with very few and very small passing places with the added hazard of very belligerent wild goats!! The walks around Strontian and Sunart are well worth exploring; you can walk up to the mines where they found Strontium - that’s a true claim.
Huge thank you for reminding people to pull in to let following traffic pass you. It’s something often forgotten when people first encounter these roads and are probably un-nerved by them but a lot of local traffic will be going about their daily business, maybe emergency service people or needing to catch ferries. As to pulling into a passing place on the right - well, I had my car written off as a result of someone doing just that.
    Really enjoying this trip!

One of my favourite drives in Scotland. Was there only 2 weeks ago, and drove out to Kilchoan for the Tobermory Ferry. Gets narrow towards the end and drive is something like 46 miles I think but it’s beautiful out there. Ardnamurchan point is the further westerly point in mainland uk too.

It is a whole year since we went on the Corran Ferry to Ardgour , we love it over there . Just to say Jenny that oak wood near Strontian is worth a look the next time you go . The road is not very long and no worse than the ones you went on . There is a beautiful little church down there & a few houses then a decent sized car park . Whatever you do do not try to go on the Castle Tioram road in your motorhome , it is bad enough in a car ! We enjoyed seeing the places we love with you and Poppy thank you and Take care :D Teddy

Its 7 miles from Glencoe village. The area around the west coast is amazing. I ventured into Plockton and what a hidden gem. Your videos are great Bob and Jenny. I also follow Dan andMazzy on Travelling trolls thy make my ribs ache laughing from time to time. Take care your both a wonderful couple and this is what life is about getting out there and amongst it exploring.

I know that other folk to “Real time” journeys with views through the front screen but yours are particularly relaxing and of great quality. Somehow the mind absorbs images in real time, in such a nice way. Maybe it wasn’t such a bad thing to experience your railway journey in the rain. It somehow seems authentic.

Just finished the peninsula and we bottomed-out on the Corran Ferry both embarking and disembarking! £14. Our motorhome has a tow bar and full width protection bar which caught the metal ramp badly at both sides. Awful noise. Coupled with the £500 tow bar bike rack newly purchased which also dragged a little. Won't be doing that one again! But we enjoyed the scenery. Stayed at Resipole Site which was amazing.

Only downside in that special place someone had discarded a face mask down on the rocks. They are harmful to wildlife. A rescue mission to retrieve it and put it in the bin 🗑!!!
