Hi Thanks for the inspiration. I used the vht satin black for the plastic around the cluster. I used the duplicolor adhesion promoter since its plastic. Looks new again.
This was great, doing a manual conversion on my S12 but the only shifter surround I could find was grey, so I bought this vinyl dye to paint it with, glad it's a pretty close match to the original nissan blue
I see you used VHT SP950. Did you try other brands and match similar color of blue? I own 1987 300ZX, same interior blue like yours. However, all I need to spray is the bottom cover above driver's knees, and the trunk edge panel.
Which gray scuff pads did you use? i wanna do this method with a color change on a dash and i want to keep the og texture as much as I can but still scuff for a good bond. Also when you repaired the cracks when do you sprinkle on the baking soda, right after it holds together? Thanks for the vid!
came for the vinyl dye, commented to say the black in the interior was a classy touch 🤌

I did try a few before I went with the VHT

3M gray is ultra fine. I usually glue, and sprinkle afterwards, but I have tried premix when gaps are larger. Thank you for watching!
@@CravingClassics thank you for the quick response 🙏
@@CravingClassicshow's the finish holding up?
@@wopino it held up good , car went to new owner so not sure on how it looks now.
@@CravingClassics with your experience with it before you sold it did it scratch easily or did it actually penetrate into the plastics?
How is it holding up a year later?
Holds up well , just be mindful with what it is you clean with. I've gotten color on rag while cleaning.
thx for the video! where did you get the replacement clips tray?
You're welcome , pretty sure I grabbed it off Ebay 🤙
How did this hold up
It holds up good , you just need to be mindful when cleaning the panels. If you use anything to aggressive it will fade
What kind of paint is that
