Hello Sleemonc. Sorry for my late reply. Here is the information how to get there. You can take MRT to Neihu Station (Exit 1) Then you need to take bus. You can google this address, No.259, Sec. 2, Neihu Rd., Neihu Dist., Taipei City You will see the bus stop that you need to take in that address (Neihu Police Station) Then you need to take bus number ‘小2’ (means small two) Here is the time table 04:30 08:00 09:00 10:30 11:30 13:00 14:00 20:00 Only run in weekdays. 15 NT dollar for the ticket ( just put the coin inside the box beside the bus driver) You can also buy an EasyCard in every convenient store or MRT Station and pay by it. Then you need to get off the bus in Shikan station (石崁) (the address of Shikan station. No.60, Bishan Rd., Neihu Dist., Taipei City) Once you get off the bus, you will see the sign of the hiking trail. Good luck! Hope this is still not too late to tell you. :(
Hi Steve, I would like to visit Taiwan anytime soon. How long would i need to see, not only the common touristy things, but the ones off the beaten path? A week? or more? how much money do you think it's the minimum anyone should take?
Hi Danny, Thank you for asking. It's hard to say actually. It depends. If you want to have a enjoyable pace to see some must see attractions in Taipei city only, I guess maybe 2 or 3 days. If New Taipei City is included in your trip (which is the surrounding of Taipei City), such as Juifen, Yehliu, etc, it will be around 1 week. If the hiking trail is included, well, at least more than one week. Maybe this official page of Tourism Bureau will give you some insight or idea eng.taiwan.net.tw Hope you find this info. is helpful :) Welcome to Taiwan bro.
