I haven't thought about that, but now I wish that too. At the end of "Anne," Buffy tells Lily that she will call her to check in on her. It would have been really cool if they continued a long-distance friendship and the show gave us a few scenes showing them talking on the phone (it would have been a fun crossover moment).
Angel has his own Anne. The shopkeeper he meets in are you now or have you ever been, and then again in epaphany. His act of selfnesses, turned the shopkeeper into a fighter for good. If nothing we do matters, all that matters is what we do!

How would you quantify it? Does the good ppl he saved count? Does the evil ppl he turned count? Get forgivness for every one he wronged? What if they turned dark himself? In my opinion the show tries to tell us, the only "redemption" we can have is being a better person today, then you were yesterday!

I loved that you talk about Anne in Angel, and yes, is hard to see how the good we and how that do impacts on others, i remember seeing her in season 3 like "oh she is the same actress" but then was like.. "oh it😅 was actually the same character" it is a great growth story and a selfless one too

Yes! You're absolutely right, that's something that I failed to mention. Buffy asked Lily (aka Anne) what they call her at home and Lily went silent. It gave me the impression that she came from a very unhappy home. If I were to create a backstory, I would say that she had her reasons for wanting to run away and reinvent herself.

She's the everyday hero. 😃 That's what I loved about her, she represents a regular person who overcomes their circumstances and fights for the greater good using just her determination.

Something that I failed to point out is that in the "Thin Dead Line" episode with the cops, Angel spends the entire episode stalking Wesley, Cordelia, and Gunn because he was trying to look out for them.

I mispronounce A LOT of words. 😅 I'm just happy people are able to understand what I'm saying most of the time. A few people have asked if I use an AI voice which confused me so much at first because I feel like I say a lot of words incorrectly. Maybe that's causing the comments, since AI voices also pronounce things strangely sometimes. I also allegedly have an accent, according to some. Which is fine, I am not against accents.
Definitely cool your videos on characters that don't get a lot of attention can I recommend one? That witch whose name i can't remember sorry 😂 the one that had the mom who went psycho on cheerleaders and tried to literally take over her daughters life, she encouraged Willows magic bender and finally she turned into a rat for several seasons.

Her character changes less according to her own experiences or motivation, but based on what is needed for the story they want to tell...

I love Anne! I wish we'd seen more of her. I've never questioned that she was the same one from Buffy, but it would have been cool if at some point her and Angel realized that they both knew and were saved by Buffy in such a significant way. Also, I think if she had stuck around more, her and Gunn could have been a couple, which would have been nice for him. Finally, in a recent rewatch, and knowing what I do now about certain behind the scenes happenings and people, it is just so clear how few female main characters the show had throughout it's run, and making Anne a regular, or even a more frequent guest-star could have really helped with that. Like, the time we have the most females is probably S3, where we have Cordy, Fred, Lilah, and Darla. That's probably one of the reasons why S3 is my favorite season, in retrospect. The show also needed to do more for Gunn's character in the later seasons, and Anne was a part of his world.

I haven't thought about that! I could see Anne playing a role once the potentials are activated. Anne takes care of a lot of youth and if one of those youth became a slayer, Anne could be like the big sister to provide wisdom and emotional support.

Hi! Thank you so much! I definitely want to cover the main Scoobie gang. I want to start off with the smaller characters before the big 4 but I'll cover significant relationships along the way. Ideally, I want to get more research under my belt before the big ones. I'm currently reading "Why Buffy Matters?" by Rhonda Wilcox and I plan on picking up more Buffy books to make my videos more useful. 🙂
I also think this character flies under the radar for those who didn't watch Angel. Her story becomes so much more significant when we see her in the spinoff. I think tons of people didn't see the connection because the character appears so sporadically on both shows.

A friend of mine who doesn't speak or really understands Bavarian, despite living here for more than 40 years, once said, after reading a menu in a restaurant offering Reherl: "Oh, die armen kleinen Rehe!" which translates to "Oh, those poor little does!" He did not understand that we others found that to be hilarious.

It wasn't in the original shows but her birth name is listed in The Script Book, Season 2, Volume 2 of Buffy.
