In our case it was just a guess. They generally come in two sizes, a 0.55mm which from the research we did, seems to provide a factory style LSD in a bit overly worn diff, where as the 0.70mm shim is used when you are after a tighter than factory diff. I went 0.7mm because I was after a tight LSD

Hello, Thanks for such detailed video. I got NP Y60, how much is the shim set in the market? And how many shima fit in it.
If you left the adjusters on the bearing caps then you wouldn’t have to set the back lash up. Sick vid tho 🤙
Once you unscrew the 3 screws can the shim go strait on top? Or does it need to go on the underside
I couldn’t say for sure to be honest. We just had a guess to be honest
Where did you get the shims from? I'm going to be doing mine soon and can't find any.
We got it from off road runner, here is the link, www.ebay.com.au/itm/302414197716
@DreadRenegade20 road runner offroad or ebay
@DreadRenegade20 I think he explains it in the video
It really depends on how worn you think the LSD is, and how tight you want it. The 0.7 will provide a tighter diff
Curious to know how to find what size shim to use?
