Visit www.horizonhobby.com/search?q... for more information on the UMX Slow Ultra Stick.
The E-flite UMX Slow Ultra Stick is simple and affordable. It’s also incredibly easy and fun to fly for low-time to experienced pilots looking for a no-hassles fly-almost-anywhere experience they can’t get with any other model! Based on the more modern-day design of the Slow Ultra Stick 1.2m and inspired by similar “slow flyer” models from the past, it can be flown in even more places and smaller spaces - indoors and out. Use a 1S 100-150mAh battery to fly indoors in garages, conference rooms, and gymnasiums. Or, use up to a 210mAh battery to fly outdoors almost anywhere in calm to low wind conditions. You can even fly in lower light conditions and at night after installing the optional LED light set (EFL-1113)!
The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) version includes everything needed to fly in one box and is a perfect choice if you're looking for maximum convenience and value. From the Spektrum SLT6 2.4GHz transmitter you can use with other Bind-N-Fly® (BNF) Basic aircraft compatible with SLT FHSS technology to the 1S 150mAh LiPo battery and a convenient USB charger that can be used with a variety of power sources, there's nothing extra you need to buy or provide! A BNF Basic version is also available for pilots who want to use their favorite Spektrum DSMX-equipped transmitter along with batteries and chargers they may already own. Both versions include exclusive AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select technologies, plus a reliable power system featuring a “pop off” prop saver design, a control unit including an ESC, servos, and a dual-protocol (DSMX and SLT FHSS) receiver that are factory-installed in the lightweight yet durable airframe that’s nearly ready to fly right out of the box. Simply install the wing by quickly and easily snapping it into place and you can be flying in almost no time!
Although we recommend learning to fly RC with one of our purpose-built trainer aircraft, such as the HobbyZone® Apprentice STOL S 700mm, the RTF version also includes a Steam® key to download and activate a trial version of the RealFlight® Trainer Edition RC flight simulator. The simulator features many of the most popular Horizon Hobby trainer airplanes, helicopters, and built-in Virtual Flight Instructor lessons. This helps new and low-time pilots learn to fly successfully by practicing on a desktop PC at home or on a laptop just about anywhere else! Simply use a USB-C cable to connect the included SLT6 transmitter to a compatible USB port on your computer to fly for up to 100 minutes. Then, you can purchase RealFlight Trainer Edition or Evolution to fly any time and for as long as you’d like!

What is dual protocol dsmx/Slt exactly? Well what the hell is slt……is this something new that’s going to replace the NX transmitters now ?
Any idea on when they start shipping?
@@RR-zq3mk it means the receiver is compatible both with Spektrum transmitters that have DSMX protocol (which most do, including NX series transmitters, and is not going away) and new lower cost Spektrum transmitters that now have SLT protocol (instead of DSMX) like this SLT6: www.horizonhobby.com/product/slt6-6-channel-transmitter/SPMR1275.html
NX transmitters are not being replaced, and they are all currently equipped with DSMX protocol. In the future some Spektrum transmitters will have both DSMX and SLT protocols, but generally speaking, SLT will only be used in lower cost transmitters and smaller models like this one. But we will continue to make the receivers in models like this dual-protocol with both DSMX and SLT so everyone with a DX, NX or iX series transmitter can use that to fly it (or they can also use the SLT6 that comes with the RTF version).
@@smclain64sm we are currently expecting them to begin shipping in the US in August or September!
The Parkzone Ember is back 🎉 🤟🏼
you guys should make a big night vapor that would be so cool
Thanks for continuing to make UMX planes. Any chance of re-releasing the UMX F16? I can’t find them in stock anywhere.
Facts we need a umx modern jet fighter
Like the saber is cool but a f16 I would totally buy
I knew it looked like an ember, that’s the first thing I thought of when I saw it!
Hopefully this is the stsrt of there being more RTF UMXs from Eflite
Most UMX models will continue to only be sold in BNF Basic versions (especially those that require more skill).
Finally! I was disappointed when the ember was discontinued.
Awesome, I just love my E-flite Slow Ultra Stick 1.2m. A UMX Slow Ultra Stick is gonna be way cool. I will be ordering one for sure .
No ailerons
That is so darn cute! I must have one to match it's big brother.
You guys keep surprising me every year with new BNF planes. I like all planes, but the UMX planes are special to me.
Mini me! Awesome.
An excellent travel travel model to take on vacation‼️
Hope to see more umx jets
;)
Absolutely love this one, and i really like the rtf version wich i will pick up soon!
my 4th aircraft after being away from the hobby for nearly 10 years great job horizon hobby!
will you re release some older models like the Sukhoi 1.1m G2?
Bring the geebee back fr!
Nice !
How do you think this would compare to the Night Vapor?
Jason explains how it compares to the Night Vapor and more starting at the 15 : 23 mark in this BEHIND THE SCENES video: ruclips.net/video/5t3Z9dd0Vps/видео.htmlsi=vfPtGtfSz0ZzfQYj
Is that little 1s spectrum battery new? 50c these can go in the blade nano?
Yes, the 1S 150mAh 50C Spektrum battery is new! It will replace the old E-flite 1S 150mAh 25C and 45C batteries because it offers better performance for even more applications: www.horizonhobby.com/product/3.7v-150mah-1s-50c-lipo-battery-jst-ph1.25-connector/SPMX1501S50.html
Your talling me theres now something i can fly in my backyard? Please tell me, that would be awesome
Yes! This model is a great choice to fly in many (most?) back yards and front yards :)
@@HorizonHobbyProducts sweet!
Where is the Stol S RTF in Europe? Out out stock since months....not cool.
does it come in a box like the ember 2 did
Jason shows the box, discusses that and much more, starting at the 14 : 15 mark in this BEHIND THE SCENES video: ruclips.net/video/5t3Z9dd0Vps/видео.htmlsi=BvaTxE_NPzU_xD5j
Any chance for a new f-15?
I’m getting one!
Always appreciated when an RC can be flown almost anywhere. Not everything needs to be 1.2-1.5m like the soonTM airwolf scale helicopter 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I would rather buy the 1.2 because this plane is still $120 and the 1.2 is $200. Both are very expensive for what the are, but one will handle wind better, will be more stable, and will still fly very floaty
This would be a great indoor flyer though
Should be good for indoor
Jason talks about flying it indoors and much more in this BEHIND THE SCENES video: ruclips.net/video/5t3Z9dd0Vps/видео.htmlsi=vfPtGtfSz0ZzfQYj
This needs a red wing and some iron crosses!
That would look great and you can always repaint it!
What's the battery run time ?
It will depend on the capacity of the battery used (between 100mAh and 210mAh) and the throttle usage/flying style of the pilot, but flight times are typically 5-10 minutes with a 1S 150mAh battery.
Does this have safe?
Another Amazing Aircraft from HH!
Must have for small areas or gym!
Love it ! Got order it !
WIll this be good for windy environment 10-12mph ?
No, you’d want to fly this on very calm days.
Sickness, Briliant toy.
Horizon, can we please get a scale, full house, at least 1.2m Beech Bonanza!! Or, taking it to the extreme, a Beechcraft series with a Bonanza, Baron, and King Air!!??
Hmmm...maybe ;) V-tail or standard tail?
EITHER! As long as there's scale retracts and lights! The ultimate answer would be a design with a removable tail piece with the option for either!
@@BCannan07 we actually offered that option before with the E-flite Bonanza 15e...and we didn't sell very many V-tails: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1183430-E-flite-Beechcraft-Bonanza-15e-with-Electric-Retracts-Review
Had no idea that existed! I'm newer to the game though! We just need it in a foamie! 1.3- 1.5m, Cherokee/cirrus style! Straight tail is fine if that's what would sell!! You guys are the best!
@@HorizonHobbyProducts. Hey, Re-release a balsa PNP or with SMART tech and they would sell. 👍👍😉
It's just a slightly bigger Ember from years ago
Exactly as we say/show in this video and Jason explains in this BEHIND THE SCENES video (so we're not sure what your point is): ruclips.net/video/5t3Z9dd0Vps/видео.htmlsi=d00l_5LTgS18nJ48&t=855
Well what to you know Joe? Looks like a great option for fun. Jeff in LA USA
I thought we had moved past these crappy 'pager' brushed motors?
The goal with the UMX Slow Ultra Stick was to make it an ideal indoor / outdoor slow flier while keeping the cost and weight down. A brushless motor of this size would make the price of this plane less than ideal, and would ultimately make the aircraft heavier. What are your thoughts on a slightly larger “Micro” Slow Ultra Stick that is brushless and sports ailerons? We are never opposed to considering an addition to the “Stick” family!
@@HorizonHobbyProducts Sounds perfect. The micro size is the sweet spot.
@@HorizonHobbyProductsI love that idea!
Bringing back the ember is more like it. Why don't you make indoor line of most your planes not just the ugly stick(ember)?
How bout a outdoor only mini version plus the servos the umx planes n edf uses are no good strip to easy, not strong enough for breezy flight, easy to damage from crashing also the size of some of the umx edf n planes are slightly to big to be called ultra micro.
No ailerons? I would thought like it’s bigger brother it would full flight control surfaces. It’s just a rebranded Vapor.
No, it's not a "rebranded" Vapor at all. It's more like the classic ParkZone Ember models (did you actually watch this video and see that reference?). Jason explains all those details, why this model doesn't have ailerons and a brushless power system -- and that we're considering a larger version with those -- starting at the 15 : 23 mark in this BEHIND THE SCENES video: ruclips.net/video/5t3Z9dd0Vps/видео.htmlsi=vfPtGtfSz0ZzfQYj
