If it wasn't in part 1 I suggest when harvick won his first race and saluted dale sr on his to victory lane just a suggestion if it wasn't included in part 1
Dale Sr. winning at Pocono after Davey Allison's death. Dale said in Victory Lane that he'd "run second to him in a heartbeat if it would bring him back."
Ayrton wasn't the first Formula 1 casualty that weekend in San Marino in May 1994, Roland Ratzenberger was killed in a qualifying crash the previous day. Luckily, though, Senna and Ratzenberger were the only two deaths in San Marino for everyone else to be hurt physically in some way (Rubens Barrichello in a practice accident, plus some mechanics due to a pitstop problem for someone and some fans for a wreck that sent debris their direction) survived.
@@corbinselanne7990 there's a crazy and pretty sad theory about how Italian law at that time dictated that if there was a fatality at a sporting event, the event would be stopped, pending an investigation. Poor Roland passed away almost immediately, but they argued that Qualifying was a separate event. Then, so the race would not be stopped, the hospital kept Ayrton on life support, even tho there was no chance of recovery, until the race finished. I wonder if there's any truth to this. Also, as far as I'm concerned, any mention from Sr. in this situation is a tribute - remember he didn't express emotions very often. It was only as he got older that he mellowed. It seems crazy to say now but back then a lot of Nascar fans had no love for f1. Rip Ayrton and Dale, two of the best to ever do it.
@@micky2549 local dirt tracks stop the event in the case of a fatality not because of law but in respect to the family I've hauled a hundred miles down the highway only to come back home because a guy got killed in the hot lap practice and rightly so it took all of the emotion out of the evening it was sad and I mean really sad watching a man losing his life in front of your eyes should they just have bagged him drug his smashed carcass of a car off the track and carried on while people are crying and traumatized bye what they just witnessed and you have to take in the fact that most people haven't witnessed a person meeting his demise in such a violent manner
That Wakins Glen finish is easily a top 5 greatest finish in nascar history, and I watched the entire 2001 pepsi 400 while tripping shrooms one night. It was beautiful
Lol yeah that’s coming from one of the slimiest disgusting drivers ver who intentionally wrecks everyone because he can’t race. He pissed 3 drivers off in one race at the end.
The only one i can think of right now is the Atlanta race where Jimmie Johnson won after the HMS plane crash at Martinsville. where all four drivers went to victory lane.
The JR win of the Pepsi 400 will always get me, and every time I see it in a video like this I think I’m gonna get through it and then it gets to the part when JR is just getting out of his car in the infield and the first person there is chocolate myers who was on Sr’s team and I start crying every damn time
I may now have grown up with dale but I know one thing that man has respect may he Rest In Peace if he was still alive I wonder if he would’ve one the 2001 championship
the 2 and 3 paying tribute to the fallen still sends chill bumps down me every time i see it. but why the flags they got? i mean rusty and alan were probably as close as brothers and no offense to you dale fans but probably closer than alan was with dale by far (just cause they'd known each other MUCH LONGER) and by same token dale was probably closer to davey for the same reason. or was it decided between them prerace who ever won the championship would cary alans and if the other won the race he'd get the 28 and if someone else won the race they'd get the 28? just curious not trying to be disrepectful. just thought it was odd given the backgrounds of the fallen heros.
no mention of Mark Martin?, the least selfless racer in nascar history. Unknown who's greatest?, 5x IROC CHAMP that's who, and didn't wreck any one to get where he is.
Think one of the eeriest things about Dale earnhards death is he said that if they didn't fix the cars (nascar) it'd end up killing someone.. during the race
How was the Almirola clip selfless or did you just need to get over 10 minutes? Every other clip was genuinely selfless, drivers recognizing that there's a story bigger than themselves, I just feel like "Ahh, *I* am so bummed that *I* almost won the Daytona 500 and now *I* am at the care center *I* hate it so much" just doesn't fit in at all. I think how Larson responds to his championship deserves to be in #3. Every time it comes up he mentions that he definitely wouldn't have won it without his crew and immediately after he crossed the line he thanked his crew before anything else. More selfless than man I hate that I lost this race I totally could've won the biggest race!
@@deadstickgaming3665 A lot of current drivers would of said a lot worse about that. Almirola is a classy driver, and one of the best role models the sport has today.
Any suggestions for part 3?
If it wasn't in part 1 I suggest when harvick won his first race and saluted dale sr on his to victory lane just a suggestion if it wasn't included in part 1
Rusty winning on Dale Sr.'s birthday in 2001 doing the polish victory lap with the #3 flag
Dale Sr. winning at Pocono after Davey Allison's death. Dale said in Victory Lane that he'd "run second to him in a heartbeat if it would bring him back."
Dale sr checking on Rusty after his flip
I wanted to suggest this but you beat me way too long ago. Lol
That tribute to Senna by Dale Earnhardt basically concreted his place in my heart for what a champion really is

I’m not a brad fan but that was a class act what he said after the glen
That's probably one of the best laps in NASCAR history, and both drivers knew it for sure.

That Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart moment on the thumbnail is the best thing ever
Lionel Racing should make a two pack of raced version diecast for that moment like they did with the passing the torch set.

The image of 24 car flying the 3 flag is still among my favorite images ever.
One of the reasons why I love racing!
Is these moments. No matter the series, it’s amazing to see wholesome moments!

I don't think I can get through the 2001 Pepsi 400 celebration without getting emotional
I still remember Dale and Rusty doing that Polish Victory Lap in 93.
And Rusty ended up doing the same for Dale at California, on what would've been been his 50th birthday
As someone who has watched nascar long enough to remember those moments LIVE its cool to see this compilation.
Burton coming back to check on Kyle was super cool. Kurt slowing down in turn 1 to check on his brother was as well
If you didn't cry a little when Jr. and Mikey celebrates
That junior win will always get me
Congrats on the FloRacing partnership Jake!👏👏👏
Thank you
The drivers are the epitome of a class act. Racing (most especially NASCAR) will always be my favorite sport for this reason.
Missed mention: Kurt slowing down and pulling next to Kyle to see if he was ok after the Vegas wreck.
Man, this video nearly made me cry 😢
Always love seeing these moments.
dale paying tribute to senna was probably the most selfless thing i’ve seen
I was at the brostol race where Tony and Kevin did donuts, the rain was miserable but it was all worth it
This damn video got me crying on my lunch break. I’m a grown ass man, I need to quit being a baby😂😭
I Like Polish Victory Lap ☺😎 Thanks For Uploading
Raise Hail Praise Dale
What a fantastic and well done video and extremely well sequenced and very fitting with the final clip being Earnhardt sending condolences to Senna
Jr and Mikey made me cry.

Earnhardt paying tribute to Senna is like Brady paying tribute to Montana. Legend to a legend.
So that's how friendship starts in nascar

the kyle bush and jeff burton moment was special

Dale Earnhardt's death hit me harder than any other. What a tragic loss !!!
Man I really miss Dale Earnhardt
keso is still cool man. Great guy, he earned me as a fan by how he talks off track not how he races on it.
He does whatever it takes to win once he's in that driver's seat - and does not care who he pisses off in the process
I may now have grown up with dale but I know one thing that man has respect may he Rest In Peace if he was still alive I wonder if he would’ve one the 2001 championship

I only need 8 minutes bud and it showed that Aric Almirola was obviously bummed, but still wasn’t gonna take it out on the media or Dillon.
