"It's more important to be a successful human being, than to be a successful musician." That's so very correct, and a sentiment commonly forgot by many.
I admire his openness and his sincere love for music. Being a Depeche Mode and electronic disciple since the 80s, I came across this street music scene very late.
What a nice guy, no frills and ego bullshit. I used to busk and am gonna get back to it. I dressed up one day in a plastic Santa Clause suit, made a fortune, I'll close on that, but just to say it was like a sauna yet it was December, Happy I didn't have cardiac arrest. Plastic Santa suits have since been banned in most European cities now.
hey Tom, I'm not in the music business, but who has gotten a hit "right off the bat"? All the professionals and successful people I know have thousands of hour ion their craft. The "public" just sees the good part and it's a rare person who wants to talk about their failures, right? Not trolling. No hate, only love. Thank You for Posting
I believe they mean the type of person that works a long time learning songs and when they finally decide to create one, it turns out to be hugely successful
Wonderful honest guy with amazing stories in his songs... with a meaning.
Thank you, Mike (especially for kindly reminder)
