As a scapegoat it is very easy for me to shoulder the " if onlys". Learning to let go even in the face of continued condemnation is a difficult task. Letting others be responsible for their own choices is hard, mixed with maybe some toxic teachings in my family. I know what you're saying is right.
I think this is the best one I've ever heard. Acceptance for me comes after I repent (even if others say I had no power) for anything I didn't do or did do that might have changed things or helped someone ....and then I get to the next thing which is 'But God is good and powerful and right' and trust Him.
