You can tell he does this because he wants to express himself. He does it because he’s passionate about his music. He doesn’t do it for the money and the fame, or the awards he does does it so other people can relate. It’s just so humble.
Tightrope is inspired by his desi side. Desi means relative to subcontinential countries like India or Pakistan. Cuz he's half Pakistani and grew up with Bollywood (Indian film industry) movies or music and Pakistani old Qawwalis, he has that feel in his music and vocal styles that makes him stand out from the other West singers. For example, the runs that he does when he's singing live. I'm talking bout one of those runs like 'I give everything that I got from your Loooooo-uhaAaAaaaauve (love)' 😂😂 I know i can't sing for shit but even I can do those runs easily cuz that's our style of music and we grew up listening to that 😂 The 'reverse' lyrics were actually urdu lyrics from an old bollywood song 'Chaudwien ka Chaand' and the whole song kinda has the same melody of it. The writer of this song told us that Z added the 'something told me it was you' part and that's the most desi part in it after the urdu lyrics ofc. Thats why it feels different to y'all and its most of y'all's favourite cuz its a completely new and different style for you guys. You should react to his cover of Allah Duhai hai, a bollywood song. He killed that with his vocals. It got more views than the original song and yt (or the production team for the actual song ) had to remove it thru copyright twice. 🙄 His pronounciation has improved a lot since and us desis want him to do more stuff like that so bad!

Tightrope is heavily influenced by desi music. And the "reversed" part is actually him singing in a language called Hindi or Urdu. It's sampled it from an old Bollywood song from the 60s called Chaudvin ka Chand, which means the moon on the 14th day of the month, i.e. a full moon. Love this reaction. i actually love all Zayn's songs as they are, without there being too many hooks and where it is just him doing spoken word. Its what makes him so unique, because he adds a twist to the production of a beat and melody that although doesnt take after the traditional markers of a hype song sounds just as good (even better, if i say so myself). It's fair to assume that he gets a lot of his inspiration from other music, and it is sooo cool seeing him play with instrumentation and different melodies that are inspired from different genres and see them morph into something more resonant with his music tastes and ideas. I might just be biased as a Pakistani-Canadian who loves R&B but I truly think Zayn is the best that happened to the industry.

I KNEW YOU WOULD LOVE SWEAT!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH
Felt like years waiting for this video, love your work man!
I'm in love with your reactions of Zayn!!! Thank you!!! That album really is so amazing and my fav, zayn is really something else.
He sing in Urdu language in Tightrope and he singing famous bollywood classic song line: " Are you the full moon, or the sun? Whatever you are, I swear to God, you are beyond compare! "
i actually love all Zayn's songs as they are, without there being too many hooks and where it is just him doing spoken word.
I absolutely love this album, it's so different than his last albums but they're all equally good. I love outside, sweat and better
In "tightrope " that verse is actually old Bollywood song . language is Urdu
This album is the BEST 😭😭😭 he had no right to hit me in the feels like this.
My top 3: Sweat, Outside, Tightrope
what I just realized: the album is called "Nobody Is Listening" but on the cover everyone is watching
that's deep
I‘m sometimes not the kind of person who likes to listen to a new album song by song completely, I normally just skip the songs to see if I like some, but watching this video and kinda listen to it with you, was really cool! I really like your vibe and how you let your thoughts out...I mean you‘re a producer but still, I really enjoy it! And I‘m definitely going to listen to zayns album again 🌟
i’m so hyped for this reaction i hope you love the album
Yes you are right..he has executive producing credits on few of the songs on this album
And this album tops the other two
He sounds so beautiful like always
And nice reaction 😊😅
This album certainly deserves a Grammy!
This reaction was really great. Love how you enjoy the music and try to connect to the artist’s emotions. Zayn has those vibes which makes him different than others. React to Jaden, his music is very underrated like Ninety, Cabin Fever, Deep End. The guy is genius.
I love how I KNEW where you were going when you said... “all of them kinda went in their own.... I’m not gonna say it” hahahaha I laughed so hard 😂
me - get excited when i think that Blake heard the lyrics
Blake - love the background instrumentation , the reverbs, the distant sounds of people walking in the studio...
Best Zayn reaction to this album I have ever watched. Loved your inputs on every song and it's awesome to hear the opinions of Zayn songs coming from a Producer
