I love hearing Otto lines on the background of the concert, but I was bummed that I wouldn't hear Ayanga on this concert. "Was" because Yusuf owned it (that stage presence of his is awesome), and now I wish that Hoyoverse would release Yusuf's rendition of this without Otto in the background. In terms of technique, it's quite easy. But it's such a genius musical touch of his own, setting him apart from the original and any other. I dare say he actually sings understands the song better than the original artist.

And he's phenomenal at singing, few can deliver what he does. But I can hear that this dude simply resonates with this song better and outdid the original recording, that's all.
I’m so glad his skill was recognized for Samudartha. His voice is wonderous. Months ago, when I first discovered this video, I searched him up and found nothing. Glad that’s no longer the case.

Feels kinda harsh when the dude says "actual english", you know English is spoken worldwide and most countries speak English with accent of their language. I used to hate Otto, but as the story continues i admire him for sacrificing everything for kallen and using his life to make her life better, this song brought me to tears 😭
I still dislike Otto, his actions were inexcusable. But seeing that at the end of it he was a broken man who threw everything for the sake of giving this one person he cared about a fair chance in life, made me feel sorry for him and inspired respect. They never tried to redeem Otto just put his actions into perspective and gave them meaning.

Istg, the original has something that was like suppressing, was trapped and i feel the struggle in Ayanga voice (its not he did it bad, he delivered it like no one else) but Yusuf, he was the one. Just at the first low note, it has the resonace I was looking for. The belting, the vocal dynamic, the presence when he sang 'Every living soul in the fray' was perfect - it was clear, was open and just beautiful. His voice was absolutely rapsy and cold but weak in a way an antagonist would be - just like how Otto should be represented this are all personal feelings, judging from the vocal showcase as well as the reflection Yusuf presented. but truely, this cover had my heart and soul, the orchestra also did amazingly to upgrade this song to nother level
Yes. For Ayanga (Original Singer), he sang it more like it was from his perspective, kinda like crying while you’re singing. But for Yusuf, he sang it kinda like passing the baton to the next generation which someone said before me. I like both but Yusuf’s one I like more

Which means that Mihoyo staff shot each song in one go, the staff would get tired if there were more edits. And like cmon, this guy has a great voice, the other opera singers who reacted to this concert agreed that it was great. Heck, Hanser (Bronya va and sang cyberangel) stated that she went onstage unprepared a bit cuz she has an injured leg and dared not to move it, thus the staff but boxes for her to sit on comfortably. And look at her frizzy hair, she forgot to comb it she said on her behind the scenes.

Honestly out of all three Mihoyo games, I love HI3 the most. It’s like playing a manga, the story and characters are amazing. If you ever get a chance you should definitely play it for the story.

Nah! If anything it's easy. You just have to ignore the yuri. Kallen x Yae feels so shallow in the game if it weren't for "yuri" said to you by the game. Kallen x Otto is the superior one.

i thoroughly enjoyed this concert over Genshin's since most of the songs one way or another are emotionally connected to small circle of well built characters we see grow and experience them ourselves in the story.... opposed to the here's a song of some forest or something and that bossfight that was only cool the first time round.
I think the difference in the Honkai and Genshin music is due to the different focus of their stories. Honkai is character-based, hence, it's more on the vocalized songs that we can easily associate with a certain character at a certain point of time. Not saying that Honkai doesn't have sick OSTs, I mean, Fantasy Note and Domineer exist, and the Honkai remix of Andrius' theme is a personal favorite of mine. Genshin is world-based, which leads to a lot of instrumentals on different areas and encounters. The songs with lyrics are saved for very iconic moments, such as Traveler vs Signora... and Traveler vs Signora, because to my knowledge that's the only song with discernable lyrics (even though it's in Italian or Latin, I don't remember which). Since I can't associate most of Genshin music with a character, I can't really get attached to the music, except for a certain few. Azhdaha theme, Signora theme, Raiden theme, and the wondrous Dragonspine themes are my Genshin favorites, though Sumeru (especially Port Ortos or Ormos) has been great to my ears. On the contrary, it's easier to get attached to Regression, Rubia, Moon Halo, etc. because of the characters associated with them.

Thrashing another game to make your game appear better is kinda unpleasant ngl (not unless that game has a widely-known fact that the music in it is absolutely horrible but so far I havent heard any yet that fits that description). And of all things, you chose Genshin as a point of comparison when it literally has one of the biggest musical budget and best videogame music produced acknowledged by many professional musicians (Honkai music is also in this category, though not as much exposed on the side of classical musicians since it's mostly EDM/Techno etc).

Nah! If anything it's easy. You just have to ignore the yuri. Kallen x Yae feels so shallow in the game if it weren't for "yuri" said to you by the game. Kallen x Otto is the superior one.
@@dadian803 I would have been fine with Kallen x Yae, but to me it felt incredibly forced. But there's too much backing on Kallen x Otto to say this isn't the better ship.

i thoroughly enjoyed this concert over Genshin's since most of the songs one way or another are emotionally connected to small circle of well built characters we see grow and experience them ourselves in the story.... opposed to the here's a song of some forest or something and that bossfight that was only cool the first time round.
I can thoroughly enjoy both Honkai and Genshin concert without comparing them too

I think the difference in the Honkai and Genshin music is due to the different focus of their stories.
Honkai is character-based, hence, it's more on the vocalized songs that we can easily associate with a certain character at a certain point of time. Not saying that Honkai doesn't have sick OSTs, I mean, Fantasy Note and Domineer exist, and the Honkai remix of Andrius' theme is a personal favorite of mine.
Genshin is world-based, which leads to a lot of instrumentals on different areas and encounters. The songs with lyrics are saved for very iconic moments, such as Traveler vs Signora... and Traveler vs Signora, because to my knowledge that's the only song with discernable lyrics (even though it's in Italian or Latin, I don't remember which).
Since I can't associate most of Genshin music with a character, I can't really get attached to the music, except for a certain few. Azhdaha theme, Signora theme, Raiden theme, and the wondrous Dragonspine themes are my Genshin favorites, though Sumeru (especially Port Ortos or Ormos) has been great to my ears.
On the contrary, it's easier to get attached to Regression, Rubia, Moon Halo, etc. because of the characters associated with them.

@@brojiro8600 My point is, can't you just enjoy Honkai's music alone without comparing it to other games (not just limited to Genshin)? Thrashing another game to make your game appear better is kinda unpleasant ngl (not unless that game has a widely-known fact that the music in it is absolutely horrible but so far I havent heard any yet that fits that description). And of all things, you chose Genshin as a point of comparison when it literally has one of the biggest musical budget and best videogame music produced acknowledged by many professional musicians (Honkai music is also in this category, though not as much exposed on the side of classical musicians since it's mostly EDM/Techno etc).
I love listening to this everday, but maybe i need a intrumental version of this just to sing along XD
