I started laughing hysterically at the beginning of the 4th stage, at the sight of the Akuma in white repeatedly appearing on each side of the screen for a fireball and making the, "HNNN!" sound.
I honestly thought they would since Marvel decided they didn't fucking hate the series anymore. Like if they really wanna start selling MvC games again and really try to reach that audience again, they should put out a remaster of Marvel 2; even if the only thing they change is net code.
I think there's no way it's getting released again or put back up, I'd assume its kind of an afterthought now. And honestly, it got a huge successful arcade release back in the day, a bunch of home ports, and a HD re-release years later. I wouldn't blame them if they didn't go through all the trouble of getting it put back on the market, its had a better run than most games.
I think if there were multiple Akuma's that would a dream come true for him. Now he FINALLY has an opponent who is "Worthy" and can fight him as mush as he wants.
Street Fighter 2, Eternal Champions, Mortal Kombat 1 - UMK3, Primal Rage, etc. Besides, fighting games aren't everything. Genesis had a MUCH better library than the Dreamcast and Saturn combined. The best games Dreamcast had were Sonic Adventure and Skies of Arcadia. I still like the Dreamcast a lot, being a Sega fanboy in the 90's, but it and the Saturn died young for a reason.
My favorite game consoles have the be the Sega Dreamcast,PS2,Xbox,and Nintendo GameCube for some reason if we’re talking about nostalgia because I practically grew up on these games I played MVC2 on the Sega Dreamcast for the first time and I own all ports for all of the systems

It's because i was doing a lot more creative and active things at the time. Instead, i played MVC2 with friends that for unsaid reasons, are no longer my friends... The skills i could have built in that time when my mind was young would have shaped my life differently if not for me choosing to procrastinate with this game and people who ultimately unbalanced my mindset. So with all that said, i don't regret who i am now, but i can't say playing MVC has helped me or many other's like it has Max in there lives. Apart from fond memories of a amazing game that changed fighter's for me forever. Hope this clears up my choice of words. Time is the one thing you can never get back, so make sure every second of it is doing what you really want in life.

Ugh, don't remind me... The sheer amount of points it took, combined with the number of times you had to enter and leave that damn menu to get the character/color you wanted; then, I heard of the Training Mode trick. Never left a console on for such a long amount of time.
I hate to break it to you but it might come in handy in the future. Leaving the console on for like an hour is the equivalent to beating the game once in terms of points. Someone on gamefaqs on the board figured the most optimal way. Best way is gameshark though.
Yep they skimped out on the endings. That game ate my social life for several years, especially the time the squares were still blocked in the selection screen in the arcade I was playing
Kevin Wager I think they didn't do individual endings because there wasn't space on the board to give EVERY character an ending. that's at least an explanation that would make sense to me since there's like 50 fuckin' characters.
If you are interested in this technique, KOF98 and KOF99 for the Dreamcast (only those versions!) and quite a lot of Naomi and Atomiswave games also used this 3D stages that were though as 2D backgrounds, which mix early/simple 3D with 2D art. CVS2 is also a good example of this.

I don't know if it's just because I've lived with it for years and years but nothing goes better with characters flying across the screen at 100 mph and beating the shit out of each other than some smooth jazz.

Wasn't expecting Max to play the Dreamcast version on emulator. You think for sure he'd play the HD release. Either way, its nice seeing the Dreamcast version in action after all this time. Reminds me that I should go back to playing the game on my Demul emulator on my laptop as well (even if I also have the HD version, but the Dreamcast version on emulator is great for portability, plus its kinda fun unlocking some of the stuff)

In the original version you had to unlock all variant colours of all characters in order to select 3 times the same character. It took ages lol.
