I’m really into this! Some great improvements from the MHP - the admin pocket being the access point for all the organization is really on point. Keeping the big pocket simple was wise! That’s one thing about the MHP that I like more on the trail than I do for everyday. Thank you for moving the key fob also! Great call. Here’s my only beef with this: when the MHP launched, y’all rightly made a big deal out of not having a central clip running across the chest, and I don’t see any of the Evergoods strap organization on this that I’ve come to love so much. Dealbreaker? Nah - but if I buy this I’ll probably mod the strap to have a fixed length on one side and a draw through the other side of the clasp. Really excited to give it a shot - looks like a great bag.
Now that I‘ve had the CAS2 for almost 2 weeks, the buckle in the middle has been a total nonissue. This placement makes the bag easy to wear as a front and back sling, as well as a front and back fanny. So that’s a big worry I had about the bag kind of muted. It’s not perfect but it’s more than adequate. The solution isn’t as unconsidered as I thought. The bag still really could benefit from some strap management…but even the strap length feels intentional, and you’d really need to draw a lot of one side to have tons of excess. A small loop somewhere on the bag for a carabiner or bike light would be pretty good. The organization is top notch, and I want to be wearing this bag when I don’t need to be. It wears really well even though I have a small frame. It holds exactly the right amount for how I carry, and I usually can stuff something unexpected in it while I’m out. I thought I would feel like I was cheating on my MHP3.5 but the CAS2 has met every need and done it super well. 9.1/10
I was waiting for so long this 2L sling ! Looks awesome and will get one !!! But… the centered buckle is so so weird !!! And you explained why a centered buckle is a bad idea with the MHP3.5, so why put one here ? Have a look at Heimplanet for inspiration
Very thoughtful layout design. I especially love how many pockets there are in that back compartment. I just wish the buckle was offset (not centered) to allow comfortable wear up front while carrying a backpack. Fidlock would be nice 🙂
Love this Slingbag, has everything i was looking for, except one feature. Option to stow away the strap, like the once from Helikon Tex have. Please add and i have found my perfect Fanny/Sling.
I want to buy this sling because i already owned several evergoods bags and pouches. But the length of the strap made me bought AER instead. I am not a big guy and i believe fit me alright but having longer strap just make me feel better. Sometimes i do like using my sling with a longer strap. I hope the V2 will fix this issue.
I wonder why you guys went away from the buckles on the two wings and went with a center strap buckle. Just bought an MHP after seeing it’s got the two buckles and the secret stash/hand warmer pocket. Those are great little touches… Now, I’m waiting for it to get here to give it a test drive. This particular size is appealing to me though.
Wish it was buckle in front side and not the rear where you need to reach behind, and longer adjustable strap would be nice so you don't have to open stuff at an awkward angle.
The design and layout of this sling is quite nice and well thought out, but I feel that the buckle was an afterthought-- which is completely false because their Evergoods MHP (Mountain Hip Pack) nullifies a center buckle to be mounted to the sides of the sling instead. I'm looking for a sling to wear on the waist rather than over the shoulder and i'd imagine that center buckle would likely cause discomfort. Even wearing as a sling, the (ugly plastic) center buckle being displayed on the front of your chest or your back depending on how one decides to wear is just an atrocious eye sore, not to mention straps dangling due to lack of management. Please listen to the people that support the brand @EVERGOODS
You can't tout how nice your strap is on the large one and then completely fumble the strap management on this one. I have a Chrome sling that has better strap management than this. A Chrome sling, guys. Back to the drawing board.

Nicely done. Thanks for moving the key lash from the back to the front. Protecting the electronics like this helps.
If the buckle wasn’t in the middle this sling would’ve been perfect.
I was hoping for that so you can put in your chest with a backpack no issue.
Funny they listened to you and just release v 2

Why are there no strap keepers? No one enjoys the dangling straps

We need CAS with Kevin’s t-shirt colorway 😎
I wish you would make a shoulder/crossbody bag, maybe based off of the CAP 2 design. I think it would be great.
I will get one or so when you change the strap so no dangle. AER does a good job on their cross body sling 2nd gen.
Man….I’m a big fan of EG but they messed up the strap design on this one.

Could a kindle fit inside?
Will that phone drop pocket fit the latest iPhone pro max?
Please fix “add” the Strap keeper!!! And move the clip to the lateral like sling 3.5…

I want one !!
Think it will fit in the front horizontal pocket of the CTB35?
very snugly:)
@@evergoods_ I’m assuming empty or lightly packed?
I hope there were 2 zipper pulls on the top compartment..for the left handed people

Will a nintendo switch fit on that?
What sling? Nice shirt though
Bought
I was hoping for the strap to be explained here. Still think its a great bag though
