- So, it’s the season of Thanksgiving y’all. A time where we not only stuff the turkey, but we gather ‘round the table with family and friends and stuff ourselves. Just when you think you can’t take one more bite, you find some wiggle room to accommodate those delectable morsels of sweetness. I mean, it is, after all the holidays, right?
But can we talk just a few minutes today about finding some wiggle room this holiday season for something else? Something that will do more than just fill our stomachs - it will abundantly fill our lives. Something the very name of the season calls us all to. That is, gratitude. Gratefulness. Thanksgiving.

Wow! I've been growing in gratitude this past 6 months. 🙏🏾 My husband passed away 6 months ago, this month, I've started a temp. job. I was seeking a job with frustration since 2021, after covid season sat me at home since 2020. My frustration with not being able to work robbed me of more intentionally enjoying memories w/my husband through his illness. I didn't know we only had a year and a half left together after 32 years of marriage. After all of that, I'm so grateful to God for the courage to get back into the workforce. Never thought I'd be excited about temp. work, but I'm taking baby steps to reinventing my life. 🙏🏾♥️🙏🏾🦋
As I deal with some physical and mental health issues with my hubby, this is a reminder to cherish our positive time together.
Wow. My heart goes out to you. I celebrate for your new journey and position that it will be permanent and exceed any pay you've ever had. I pray for the Lord our GOD to surround you with his love and peace. That passes all understanding. This joy that you have. The world didn't give it and can't take it away❤️❤️❤️🙏

Grateful for people who encourage me.
My practice of gratitude was strengthened after I read the book A Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. She encouraged us to write down the gifts we see in our lives. I am now up to Gift 7840. It's a great way to reflect back on each day.

Hi Chrystal, thank you reminding us that we all can CHOOSE to be grateful! I'm grateful for all the good things in my life that have been given to me. The Lord...HE is good!! Thankful for being in my right mind, my health, my children, my grandchildren, family, good girlfriends and so much more. Thankful for the things that He holds back and the things He allows!!!
