Currently looking to buy a house and it's a dream to put one of these in. Problem is most houses don't see to have ceilings high enough, or just a space big enough in general. Any tips/information on overcoming those hurdles?
Yea! So if you have a garage stall what you can do is remove the railings for one stall and that should give you enough room in your garage. If you have a house with let’s say 9 foot ceilings you could pretty much hit everything but driver.
Hey Kaw! I have not had experience with that device and it hasn't been talked about much on the forum. If we are able to get our hands on one we would love to test it out!
@@GolfBusters Ahhh...I got ya...that's the pricing I was referring to. I must've missed that's how you were adding it up. Good info on this video. In less than a year I've gone from R10 to Skytrak OG and NOW I'm considering the BLP...I have an addiction I guess LOL
I can’t believe you recommend the Garmin R10 over the Rapsodo MLM2! The MLM2 is so much more accurate for spin axis / shot shape indoors using the camera, the R10 is basically just guessing. Seriously the MLM2 is way better for not much more $$.
Hey Matt! I think the reason we put it at 5 was because of the subscription fee of the rapsodo. In our opinion your better off going with one of the launch monitors in the top 4 and spending a little more money. The r10 is enough of a price drop without subscriptions that for people looking to save a lot of money, the R10 is the choice in our opinion.
@@GolfBusters MLM2 Pro has almost same accuracy as GC3 (within 1-2%) for less than 700$ and just because they have a non subscription fee you recommend R10 which is not as accurate and basically a toy instead of a launch monitor rather than MLM2 PRO. Have you ever seen the comparison videos of the two devices against GC3 or GC4. That is some bold move my friend. You should consider Accuracy more than anything else when it comes to Launch monitors just like other reviewers. And on top of that you do not have to pay subscription for a year and you have access to E6 for free. You can play 5 courses for free. And if you want more you can subscribe to GS Pro or E6 . If you calculate on the long run lets say 5 years you pay 800$ more . So you would pay under 1500$ all together for almost as same data as Bushnell Launch Pro which is 3000$ and you have to pay 500$ more every year if you want spin data. so For total of 5500$ for 5 years. A device which provides almost same data accuracy almost 4 times less money is not in your list 🤣🤣
Love your channel and the info but that logic doesn't add up! Most of those higher priced units have subscription fees too. The MLM2PRO has been shown to equal the data from the GC3 with the RPT balls. And it's $700! You could pay the subscription for 10 years just to reach the price of the loaded Mevo+ or Skytak+. You guys definitely lost me on that exclusion.
@@MM-lw6oxjust commented similarly.. Seems odd to leave of such an accurate LM for significantly less than all the top 4. Then significantly more account then number 5 ( R10) for barely even more $.
Im currently building an in home sim. I have a mevo+ currently and love it. Ive been thinking about a gc3 or the eye mini. After watching this idk if i should bother. What kind of insight can you guys offer? Love your content
Enjoyed the video. I will say there should be a putting/short game video too. Nobody gets into the weeds on the short game enough with the LM's. That would probably change this list and many consumers would want to know that, even though for most the big sticks are king indoors obviously.
One of the things you mentioned about the Skytrak+ is that you need the $250 subscription to play third party software but you only need the $130 subscription to play with third party software.
Hey Soupy! Check out my other top 5 you might like that one more. Remember this list factors in cost. I agree the BLP is the best, but after testing all the units "Blow out of the water" isn't really the term i'd use. SkyTrak+ and Mevo+ are GREAT units, and I don't think any unit blows another one out of the water.
@@GolfBusters the problem is most that buy r10 and mevo+ end up upgrading later on, and skytrak is not supported on gspro which to me is a must right now
0 issues with my mini and its got more accurate short chips and putts than the GC3. And Mevo+ and skytrack top 2 in 2023?... maybe a few years ago... Mevo struggles with ahort chips and putts big time. Why i switched to a camera based unit. This list is a wash and i wouldnt go by it when making a decision on a launch monitor for a 5k price range.
Hey Brandon, thanks for your comment. This is going off of our experience testing these units out in the last month. We have affiliate links for all products so we have no financial incentive to rate one over the other.
Really don't see how the MLM2 Pro wasn't in there.. I know you mentioned it but it isn't close to the R10 with the accuracy of spin axis. Literally up there in overall accuracy with the BLP (as seen in multiple reviews with it compared to GC3/Quad) but a fraction of the cost. I have seen numerous reviews with the data of the R10, Eye Mini, and Mevo+ being questionable, especially with skin axis. Not trying to be a negative comment, just stating my own opinion based off multiple other review videos.
Hey thanks for the comment we appreciate it. We are going off of our experience testing the devices and not other review videos, if you watch another one of my videos where I say price isn’t a factor you can see it’s in my top 5.
From the video's I have watched comparing the R10 to other monitors the R10 seems to be one of the worst now for the money. The amount of shots the device doesn't capture is insane. Also the accuracy seems really bad. just my opinion from watching a bunch of videos while trying to find one of these to buy.
Sorry, But if you talk about accuracy, then a GC3 or EyeMini can never be in 3rd or 4th place. And if you then provide the links for the Flightscope discount, then that doesn't seem independent to me.
Hey thanks for the comment I think you missed the part in the video wheee We said the GC3 is the most accurate unit, we knocked it down because of the cost which makes it above a $5000 unit. Also, we’ve tested the eye mini and found it to not be as accurate as the Mevo plus and skytrak. Gc3 was most accurate
But indoors, a radar device cannot be more accurate than a camera-based device. Because the technology doesn't allow that... And which device did you use as a reference when you measured the accuracy of all of them.@@GolfBusters
@MrHondacrf250 hey! I used a trackman as reference. And I would say with the new rct balls and the integration into the systems you’d be amazed how accurate some of these radar devices are and on top of that the Mevo+ has fusion tracking which also uses the camera. I do think the uneekor will be a great unit but right now i has spin numbers way off on a few clubs. For the price I wasn’t impressed.
I think you mistook our statement. We said accuracy matters but there are a bunch of factors to take in. As an extreme example if one launch monitor costed $30,000 and one costed $1000. And the $1000 launch monitor was 99% as accurate as the $30,000 dollar launch monitor than were clearly going to recommend the $1,000. Accuracy still plays a MAJOR role but cost, lefty right use, simulator programs, etc is also a major factor.

Brilliant video lads !!
Thanks!
Pricing has recently changed on the Launch Pro as well as their subscription price so I would have to move it up a list more. Great video.
Thanks Jcass! We were operating off of $2000 for ball date and $3500 for club data. $500 for golf package and $250 for gspro. Did that change?

Great point, I think for me personally I never putt on a simulator so I don't look into that feature to much but chipping is huge!
Have you had any exposure to the Golfzon Wave? If so how would it compare? There’s very little info/reviews on it bar a couple of videos I’ve found

You are correct! that is our bad, so $130 allows you to get access to third party software.
Tough to not have the eye mini higher up here. I can understand mevo being #1, but eye mini is a steal at their price.
Thanks for the reply, from our experience we found it to be less accurate than the skytrak+ and Mevo+ and it was more expensive.
What about the golf zon wave?
Hey Lmfaodudeable! We have not tested the golfzon wave yet. We plan to get that in our tests in the future!
your list is right. but the gc3 and the mini blow the mevo+ and skytrak plus out of the water, its not close
