To be honest, your homemade 1950's tree is more authentic. My grandparents made all kinds of stuff like that. That's what people did in the 1950's. Bravo to you! LOVE all your decorations!
My Grandma had a silver tinsel tree like yours in the 60's (with color wheel). I liked hers and I like yours. I used to sit and watch the tree change colors.
This may sound strange, but your home, and style makes me wanna cry. Not in a bad way. It’s just beautiful, to think these things were really in homes back in the day. And to them it was new. And life was so different back then. The clothing, the lifestyle, the music, the appliances, everything. And beautiful people like you try to keep that magic alive. It’s amazing. Thank you for sharing.
This video almost made me cry. Just looking at your living room brought back so many memories. I remembered how I felt when I was little and it was Christmas time. I was born in 1953 so my early Christmas memories are filled with all these wonderful things. I remember the first time I saw bubble lights. My Grandmother had a large bowl filled with fresh pine and bubble lights. They dazzled me! One of our traditions was playing Which Ornament Am I. I am a glass ornament fanatic and have hundreds. My favorites are shaped like cars, dolls, food, etc an endless variety .. We would sit around the tree and I would give my kids hints about one and they would have to guess which it was. The winner gave the next hint. They still play it and they are in their 30s. Thank you!
My one set of grandparents had the silver tree with light. They lived in a Victorian house but had remodeled the kitchen and living room circa 1960. The tree with fabric tree skirt (with sparkles) sat at one of the living room with the colored projection lamp on a platform. Add the davenport, pole lamp, my grandfather's recliner and the RCA Victor television...maybe some hot chocolate...and then ready for Christmas morning.
I stumbled across this video by accident - but wow I really enjoyed watching it and seeing your vintage decorations. Just goes to show that you don't have to pay a fortune for vintage. Thank you for sharing a slice of your 1950's life.
You have brought back so many memories for me. My grandparents lived in Queens, NY. The elevator in their building had a thick heavy metal door, then a gate. Both had to be opened manually. Their apartment was on the 5th floor down a high ceilinged, painted cinder block walls, long hallway that echoed something awful. Of course, we as kids took full advantage of that, with my father telling us to be quiet and only whisper. My father had lectured us for the hour long drive to be quiet when we got there, but the first thing we did was yell. My grandparents door was also heavy, much too heavy for my 4’11” grandmother, but she always managed to open the door. Inside, down an extensive hallway was the living room complete with faux fireplace, faux aluminum Christmas tree, and a pair of faux flamingos flanking the fireplace. They too used a color wheel for the tree.My grandparents eventually moved to Florida and placed the flamingos in the front yard. Thanks for the memories I had forgotten all about. Merry Christmas.
I was born in 1950. I remember all of your decorations. On the back of Mom's spinet piano was the cardboard village. I still have it. 6 houses in white and turquoise and 2 churches. I have it on top of my computer cabinet. I have a vintage ceramic Christmas tree, but I love your pink and aqua ones. I have Mom's vintage ornaments. There were always small 1 inch little ornaments that we hung individually on the lamp shade you have in your living room. Our couch was like yours only was forest green. Perfect for the holidays. Thanks for letting us tour your house. All you need to find is a framed Christmas tree made out of vintage jewelry on velvet with holes drilled for lights to shine through the jewelry.
my best vintage Christmas find was dumpster diving at Goodwill. I found several boxes of pink ornaments, lights and a huge ceramic tree with no damage.we are fortunate that we can get together with family. Our family has health issues that keep us home unless we are going for groceries. I love your tree,it was very ingenious to put it together that way,it truly is vintage it just needed a little help.im praying that you and yours have a safe and happy holiday season. 🎅🤶🎁🎄🍭🦌🌟📯❄
I so prefer vintage Christmas and Vintage Christmas Decor. My favorite Vintage Christmas thing is the old Christmas music. It always gives me a cozy and fuzzy feeling inside.Great being your Vintage Neighbor!
I absolutely love it!! It brings back many fun childhood memories ❤️ our Christmas tradition is that we have a fancy tree in the room living room and a "kids" tree that the kids decorate themselves with all the school made ornaments in the family room.
AWESOME/BEAUTIFUL/WONDERFUL, I was born in 1957, I remember all those things that you have, my grandmother and mother had the same decor. I love it ALL!!!!
Glad to see you again Laci!!!! GOOD SHOWING!!!! I've gotta tell you regarding the "Color Wheel." My boyfriend of the seventies, his mom had one of those Wheels, and she got it new. This was the LATE SEVENTIES, I believe. It was DEFINITELY the Seventies though!!!!
We do have a Tradition. I hide the Pickle in the Tree, and my son-in-law looks for it every year. I also Bake Christmas Cookies with my daughter. I've been Baking Christmas Cookies for YEARS!!!! When my mom passed, I started doing it with my daughter.
Love your decor...I grew up in the 50s. Best time ever! We had enuf technology to make life comfortable but not so much to make it stressful. I have my grandma's cardboard village from the 40s with trees and figures. I love them. Put them on my hutch every year. Takes me back to those happy days! God bless you and family.
I am 68 years old. Pyrex was like Tupperware for us. Now it is a collectors item. Who would have guessed it. Ceramic Christmas trees were made by hobbyists. I even made one. A find would be ceramic cookie jars, too. I bought a Christmas tree color wheel this year in memory of our Christmas time. Works best with a tinsel tree (silver). My late mother-in-law had bubble lights. Next year tinsel and bubble lights here, too. I was born in 1952. Thanks for bringing back some memories. Merry Christmas.🎁🎄 our pole light was turquoise and persimmon color, with a Naugahyde turquoise couch and permission chairs. Oh, the memories.
I just posted a picture on facebook of me in front of our Christmas tree in 1964. It's an aluminum tree with blue balls and had the light wheel behind it.
Hi, Laci! I love your Christmas decor--very nostalgic and festive. People who collect and love vintage items are stewards of history and all the magical memories attached to them. I have two angels [more like cherubs], one blue and one white. They are plastic and are rattles, too! They have been on every tree that I can remember; but now they are mine! The cats have left the tree alone [it's only been a day] for the most part, but Jack [our tuxedo] has his little wheels turning trying to figure out the BEST way to climb it!! LOVE your videos and hauls--here's hoping you make it to 100,000. SO well deserved! 🎅🎄👔🐾
Thanks for reviving a lot of holiday memories! The little plastic nativity reminds me of our town’s five and dime. I remember the store owner made a gift of one of those when I tried to give him my dime. I still remember the kindly smile he had. People in our town remember that store fondly.
My great- aunt hung old chandelier cystals as ornaments (or added little decorations to the crystals to make them into angles, ect.) On her aluminum x-mas tree. Oh! My! Cheeze-itz! When the color wheel turned on and all those glittering crystals. Absolutely no need for electric (and dangerous) lights. I've been building my own collection of crystals (thank you habitat for humanity putting up with my digging through broken chandelier boxes.) To do the same when I get my own vintage tree one day.
My Great Grandmother had the same looking Nativity Set. My best Vintage Christmas finds a cast iron 1920-39's Christmas Tree stand with bulbs. Just needed a new power plug and works great.
I love your channel Lacy. You are such a beautiful person inside and out. I grew up in the 50's and 60's and we made paper chains for christmas decorations in australia. We would hang them from corner to corner around the ceiling. My mother also use to make plum puddings with thipences in them. We got excited wondering if we had a thripence in our piece of pudding. Mum would make sure each piece had one, we found out later. It eventually got outlawed due to people swallowing them lol! Kim x
I put up our aluminum tree this year too. So far that’s all the decor that’s out. But i will be getting out the ceramic trees too. Lol My daughter and her family come for dinner Christmas Eve and we open gifts. My granddaughter ‘s first Christmas they got snowed in here and had to spend the night. One of my favorite years it snowed and we lost power and spent Christmas Eve listening to Scrooge a Christmas Carol on a radio that i had to crank to keep powered up. Christmas Day we loaded gifts into a sled and walked down the lane to my mother in laws (who had power) for my husbands family get together. So many fond memories. Be well and enjoy the holidays.
Laci, your living room is AWESOME. It looks wonderful. I was born in 1956 so a lot of your Christmas decor brings back such warm memories. My mom was a real tree fanatic but I had friends who had these silver tree. They were a craze back in the 50s and 60s. Oh my goodness, what a step back in time. Love your Christmas tree collection.💚 I'm a softy for trees and snowmen. 🎄⛄ Girl, that Pyrex collection is to die for. 💙 Thank you for keeping vintage alive and pulling it forward. Merry Christmas. ❤🎅
My Grandma Betty used to put tinsel around her giant living room picture frames in that exact same style. This makes me think fondly of seeing her front room with kewpie elves in the tree, and the gigantic television that just barely still worked - big gold cabinet and all!
I have a couple of tree ornaments from the 40s or 50s they were my Great Aunts and I always carefully pack them away and put them high up on the tree as they are fragile. One is an angel with a very pointy head.
I have ceramic Santa and Mrs. Clause that my grandmother made probably in the 50s/60s As well as the 3 tier glass tree she made and used as her christmas tree. My decorations are very eclectic and collected over many years. I grew up with a silver tree.
When I was a kid, my family would go to a tree farm and get our tree and then we would go to a Chinese restaurant for dinner (my dad's favorite movie is "a Christmas Story") we would also drive through the richer parts of Dallas to look at their lights and there was one house in my home town that always had their lights tuned to the radio, so we would watch that too!
Oh Lacy !! Thank you so very much for sharing your beautifully decorated home. I just love everything and the tree is ingenious! Sharing and sharing to grow your lovely channel. Merry Christmas to all and may we all feel the love and care this Season of lights. The tiny Nativity is one i had as a child and to find in the box is a treasure. Watching again tomorrow. So festive.
i collect vintage plastic Nativity sets like the one you have. I have many and only a few are duplicates. Afterall, the birth of Jesus Christ is the "reason for the season"! My husband and I did exactly what you did with the drilled dowel rod painted silver and the aluminum branches. i don't know what people did with those aluminum Christmas tree poles, but thanfully they saved the branches!!
You are so funny and sweet. I like the acting by the window. I assume you heard noise outside. Thank you for showing all your interesting vintage Christmas decor. m
Laci, you and this video are literally the only things that have made me have even the slightest xmas spirit this year. Thank you for being you. Shine on.
On Christmas Eve our family keeps a lit candle in the front window from dusk to midnight to light the way for the Holy Family on their journey to Bethlehem. My grandmother said the tradition was brought over from Ireland by my great-great-great grand parents.
My mother has two aluminum table top Christmas trees in our living room right now along with a early 1900s German feather tree as well. We absolutely love your aluminum pom-pom Christmas tree with all the pretty antique ornaments on it. We also have an original antique color wheel that we also use on the aluminum Christmas trees. Your house and your style looks amazing! please keep the videos coming, my mother an I love watching them.
I was born in 1961, so just missed the 50's - but my nostalgia and wonderful memories of everything in your house still sparks SO MUCH JOY in my soul!! Even though I was a child of the 60's and 70's I have ALWAYS decorated in those decades including the 1950's!! My parents were married in 1948 and I came along 13 years later - so I lived with much of what you have decorated with too!! 😍 LOVE YOUR HOME and thank you for the tour!! ❤
You’ve decorated your home beautifully for Christmas, +LacyFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor ! Its so colorful and inviting. I especially love your aluminum tree and collection of ceramic Christmas trees. Have a lovely holiday season! I hope Santa is good to you 😊
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor I’ve had it on the “sounds of the season” music channel since after thanksgiving and it’s been mostly Christmas music from the 50s and 60s. I’m ready!
Yes,ambrosia salad, divinity and pecan sandies!!My grandma and great grandma made all those lovely treats only for Xmas!!❤ Cant forget the ribbon hard candies either!
Love your dress love the tree, love the ornaments love everything ! You must be such a great neighbor ! tfs 🎅🎄🍭🍬🍥🎁🎉🌵🎅🎄🍭🍬🍥🎁🎉🌵🎅🎄🍭🍬🍥🎁🎉🌵🎅🎄🍭🍬🍥🎁🎉🌵 With the pink tinsle garland, I would shape it into a tree and display it in a shadow box frame. LOVE the pink village house !
I’m a new subscriber. Born in the early 60’s but I love stuff from so many different decades. I had such stylish aunts and uncles. They always dressed so nicely and especially at Christmas. I remember playing dress up with my mother’s white gloves. She had many. Your house and clothes and even your demeanor brings back so many good feelings and memories of my childhood. I’m so glad I found this channel!!
Laci, I love your channel it brings me back to my youth. It brings back so many great & loving memories of loved ones that are no longer with us, but most definitely they live on in our hearts💗💗💗Many blessings this Holiday Season🎄Merry Christmas to all🎅🏼☃️🎄⛄️
Sorry I'm a little late to come here and comment. Beautiful vintage decorations Laci. I love them all. I decorate my home with a lot of vintage 1950s lamps and other Mid Century décor throughout the year. During Christmas season, I go wild with Shiny Brite ornaments, bubble lights, Noma plastic post war Santa's and snowmen. I also do a whole 50s style village on a large table with Department 56 buildings and 1/43 scale model cars, all 40s to early 60s vintage. I'm very impressed with the silver tree, and will be on the hunt for one of those to hopefully have up for next Christmas. Thank you for your channel and for being so genuine. Back to the Future is a favorite movie too. Vintage is fun!!
I've been collecting vintage Santa's, and Girdley Candles from the 40's and 50's, they are so fun, I have to find item's from the Antique shops, thrift stores, in my area don't have really anything vintage any longer.
I'm all about vintage Christmas. I would trade a whole box full of vintage ornaments for that tree topper. That's what I collect the most. I also LOVE your tree stand. I got an aluminum pom pom tree at a garage sale years ago and it was missing just the top pole. I know what you mean about drilling those holes. I still need a color wheel.
Hi Laci, I wanted to let you know that you have been a breath of fresh air for me during this pandemic. I discovered your RUclips channel a couple months ago and LOVE it! I’m also really into vintage, mainly 1950s and early 60s. I’m currently looking for a vintage RCA TV from 1955, it’s one of the first color sets. If I find one in working condition I’m going to keep it original and just use adapters to connect my Roku. I think it would be SO cool to have to watch “I Love Lucy”, “The Honeymooners”, etc. on. I’m also trying to score both volumes of the Cooking Magic cookbooks on eBay, I would LOVE to have a set of those! Again thank you SO much for bringing some joy to me through your wonderful videos
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor Thanks, Laci! You’ve done such a MARVELOUS job decorating your house. Wish you were closer so I could have you decorate my place. Any advice in decorating that you can share with me? I’m planning on only doing the living room, dining room, and kitchen in 50s-early 60s.
Laci - I love your channel. I'm subscribing as we speak. This was the decor and furniture I grew up with. This really takes me back to a happier time. Your living room looks absolutely wonderful. My aunt used to have those bubble lights on her tree. I always thought they were magical. I love your ceramic tree collection - just beautiful. Have a safe, healthy and wonderful Christmas season. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵🎄
Oh the aluminum Christmas tree. My grandmother had one, for over 40 years, she wired all the ornaments to the tree limbs. She would wrap it up in a sheet, put it up whole in her guest room closet every Jan 2nd. She would drag it out, unwrap it Dec. 1st and was good to go. Ahh, the mind of an Engineer in action.
Growing up in the 60s had a tall aluminum tree with a tree stand that turned & the color wheel. My Dad made a platform adding trains & a village. He got us an organ for Christmas. Every year we have an organ recital. My Grandmother loved going through Vermont Country Store catalogs. She made cookies that we paint with egg food color & colored sugar. Now l make cookies with my grandchildren & we have our recital. Still keeping those traditions(43 years).
Hi Lacey new subbie here.. I’m 52 and was born 1968 but there’s something that’s making me love vintage and retro Christmas decor and how ppl lived back then, thanks so much for sharing . Loved every thing and every min of this. Wishing it was longer actually lol. From my family to yours I wish y’all a very merry blessed Christmas 🎄♥️🎄♥️🙏🏽
Hi there! I just found your channel today and I am so so excited! I saw the feature that In The Know did on you and when I started to recognize things like Bulloch drug and then saw Conner I just freaked out because I know him and went to school with him! I heard about vintage for the first time from him in about 7th grade and had no idea what he was talking about but because of that it is now my favorite thing! I am in the process of making my own room vintage and am always on the hunt for vintage clothes and decor :) it is just so exciting for me that someone who loves vintage as much (probably more haha) as me lives in the same area :))) It is so inspiring to see people like you who live in the era they love even if it isn't what most people think is normal. thank you!
Very nice indeed. I recognize some of the things you showed from when i was a kid. Especially on the silver tree. We had lots of those sunken ornaments...............
Laci, you made my day with this fabulous video! Your beautiful decor brought me right back to my childhood! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful vintage home with us!!
Love it Laci!!! It’s just so fun & relaxing tuning in to your adorable channel!!! I’m nearly 68 and it brings back fond memories & brings me joy that my childhood era means something sweet to others. Aside from some obvious and very wonderful advancements which have taken place in the world since, nonetheless there WAS an awful lot of charm which is hard to find let alone embrace today! which has become utterly lost. You are very special and I wish you continued success, a lovely Christmas and every blessing in this New Year!!! 🌲❤️
My grandma has a ceramic tree, all of us love it to bits! It's very old too, she's had it for year's! It's got little mini bird bulbs on it! Instead of the light bulbs! I adore your collection of those trees! Makes it feel so Christmasy, and yes pink everything is the best!
Your tree looks amazing and bring back memories of my grandparents Christmas tree. When I got to stay overnight at their place I slept on the couch & at Christmas time Grandma would leave the tree on so I could look at it as I went to sleep. I now have all of the old ornaments from my parents tree. Hand & mouth blown German glass & thinner than eggshells. I even have a couple that my Grandma and Great-Grandma made in the 1930's. Besides round ones I have icicles, teapots, flowers, & dioramas. How I treasure them! Thanks for the tour and the memories.
My mother use to work at Norma Electric where she helped make the bubble lights. The vintage ornaments on your silver tree. I have almost 300 of those ornaments.
While I do not decorate in vintage style I do have some vintage balls that are covered in what look like frayed ribbon strands and they have beads or foil pinned into them. They belonged to my son's a great grandmother. You're home is cheerful and lovely.
You brought back a memory....my great aunt had an aluminum tree with the color wheel. We used to visit her every Christmas in the 50s and 60s. I haven’t thought about her in years. Thank you
What I love about your channel is that it reminds me of when I was a little girl at my grandmother's house! All good feelings!!! ⛄🎄 Also the aluminum tree and I made a ceramic Christmas tree!
I remember as a small kid that we had an aluminum tree and I so loved watching the colors change as the wheel turned! Great job on your DIY on the tree, looks great!
Yay 😊❤. I diyed a minature aluminum tree out of a dollar store one and sprayed it chrome, trimed it and affixed it to a box with some foam and glue for the base. Then found some lil vintage/vintage reproduction ornaments. One day I'll get a real one. I love yours :D🎄❤.
I love, love, love everything about your vintage Christmas decor! You are a doll! Special nod to the "Young at Heart" sheet music...I'm planning on watching that movie with my Dad this weekend now that our tree is up.
Love the decor! Bubble lights are my favourite, my grandmother had them on her tree and I was mesmerized by them. How creative you are buying the branches and your husband did a great job! The room must look so nice at night...well done Take care 🇨🇦 🎄
Ha! Love the candy corn in the candy dish! What a score on the tree parts and I 100% count it as vintage. I no longer decorate for any of the holidays. I used to go full out but it became very difficult as my medical issues increased. Our last tree was 9 years ago when my son was 14. He didn't want to help put it up or take it down so I told him I was done. He didn't care as long as he still got his stocking (an extremely large stocking) stuffed. lol Just because of the crappy year, I did manage to put lights in the only window at the front which can be seen by people. And put a Santa on the front door. I didn't want all my neighbors to think I was being Scrooge since they all have some kind of decorations up. I am enjoying it so who knows, maybe when everything goes on clearance, I'll find one of those little pre-lit and decorated tabletop trees. I could probably handle putting that up every year. :-) 🎅🎄
Your decorations are the. CUTEST!!! I remember my great aunts and grandmom had soooooo many of these things around their houses, and being particularly fascinated with the bubble lights and little Christmas village pieces! Thank you so much for sharing your warm, happy home with us! Happy Holidays! 🎄☃️✨🎁
New subscriber. Love your outfit. My Grandparents had the same tree and decorations, brings back happy memories. Unfortunately a family member got rid of all these pieces. Was so happy to watch your video. They like many of that generation mend and made do. No wastage. I feel the main problem about this Christmas, is not having family and friends around. Well that may change with limitations. However still will make the best we can for the Christmas season. Including watching it’s a wonderful life. TFS. Left me with a big smile on my face. Thank you. Xxx

My best Vintage Christmas finds a cast iron 1920-39's Christmas Tree stand with bulbs. Just needed a new power plug and works great.
Oh awesome!! Nice find!
Ahhh what lovely memories! Thanks for sharing them with me!
Thanks so much!! Ahh what fun memories!
Wow I love back to the future movies ♥️♥️🎁
Hi Raven
How are you doing?
So festive.
Ahh yay! Thanks so much for sharing!
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor my pleasure always. Great channel. Time for a vinyl film from your collection. Any blue note jazz?
My mom had those. Nostalgia ❤
i collect vintage plastic Nativity sets like the one you have.
Shine on.
Love the blue. Nice change
Thank you!
On Christmas Eve our family keeps a lit candle in the front window from dusk to midnight to light the way for the Holy Family on their journey to Bethlehem. My grandmother said the tradition was brought over from Ireland by my great-great-great grand parents.
Love your outfit, love your hat, love your look and I loved the tour!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
The tinsel lady next door! 😉😊 I love 1950's ornaments and I have quite a few on my tree too. 🌲❤️ Merry Christmas!
I have thousands of pieces of vintage Christmas. It’s getting harder and harder to find; plus, the prices are definitely going up! I ❤️ vintage!
Hi Debra
How are you doing?
So fun! My grandma relived the late 40s and 50s the most when telling stories. I love seeing someone enjoy the look!
I hope Santa is good to you 😊
Looks like you’re ready for the niftiest Christmas get together in the 1950s! Makes me want ambrosia salad really bad!
I’d love to have a 50’s holiday party. How fun huh?!
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor I’ve had it on the “sounds of the season” music channel since after thanksgiving and it’s been mostly Christmas music from the 50s and 60s. I’m ready!
You look gorgeous in your red dress. Thanks for the tour. Am in awe of your vintage decorations! Merry Christmas to your family!
Oh that’s a great idea! Thank you!!
Oh my gosh.. makes me miss my grandmother so much. 😢 So beautiful. Literally the most amazing decor I've ever seen.
It brings back so many great & loving memories of loved ones that are no longer with us, but most
definitely they live on in our hearts💗💗💗Many blessings this Holiday Season🎄Merry Christmas to all🎅🏼☃️🎄⛄️
The last few years, the downtown area of Los Angeles had a giant pink tinsel looking tree. Some people hated it, but I loved it.
Wow, I would have not known that was a wooden dowel with eBay bought branches. It looks like a real aluminum tree. Great job to you and your husband.
Yay! Good luck with your tree!
Hi! Ahh I’m so happy to hear that. Oh that tv would be awesome. Good luck on your hunt.
Aweeeesome ....all You need is some Elf on the shelf dolls ... It is great !!! Merry season !!!
I am so in love with your hat. The whole outfit is beautiful
Ahh thank you!
I am in the process of making my own room vintage and am always on the hunt for vintage clothes and decor :) it is just so exciting for me that someone who loves vintage as much (probably more haha) as me lives in the same area :))) It is so inspiring to see people like you who live in the era they love even if it isn't what most people think is normal. thank you!
The blue bulbs look just like the GE ones we had as a kid
Very nice indeed. I recognize some of the things you showed from when i was a kid. Especially on the silver tree. We had lots of those sunken ornaments...............
I watch Christmas Vacation every year on Christmas Eve with my family.
When I was a kid, someone gave us a silver tree and color wheel. Love your decorating.
Hi Linda
How are you doing?
So charming! I'm very impressed with your tree building skills. Such a cute holiday home.
Thanks so much! It was a little tricky, but I’m happy with the result!
Hi Cheryl
How are you doing?
Hi Kathy
How are you doing?
I love the pin and the hat it looks quite festive!
Thanks so much! I thought it went nicely with the dress.
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor Where did you get the hat? It's so pretty :)
You are so adorable. I love your hat also. Its so cute. You decorated so beautifully. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
Thanks so much lovely! You too!
I recognized all of your thrift and hoarder haul items! Great job with the hutch & blue light globes!!
Oh fun! Thanks so much!
the vintage things I have a collection of are from the 80's and they are Telco christmas motionettes I am obsessed with them
You brought back a memory....my great aunt had an aluminum tree with the color wheel. We used to visit her every Christmas in the 50s and 60s. I haven’t thought about her in years. Thank you
Your home is fabulous. I wish I had your creativity 🤗
Thank you!! You can do it!
I love your Christmas decorations. You look smaller and gorgeous. You are such a sweet person. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Hi Monika
How are you doing?
I love vintage Christmas decor. I’ve found so many cute pieces thrifting to recreate my grandparent’s collection that I remember as a kid. Loved this!
Me too! Oh that’s awesome. Thank you!
Agreed tara😈
I'm kicking myself that I didn't save more of my Grandparents Christmas decor and am always on the lookout for similar items also!

What I love about your channel is that it reminds me of when I was a little girl at my grandmother's house! All good feelings!!! ⛄🎄 Also the aluminum tree and I made a ceramic Christmas tree!
Hi Lori
How are you doing?
@@jamesstuart9558 I'm doing fine but I don't know you
I remember as a small kid that we had an aluminum tree and I so loved watching the colors change as the wheel turned! Great job on your DIY on the tree, looks great!
The tree is gorgeous, such a good job of fixing it!
Yay 😊❤. I diyed a minature aluminum tree out of a dollar store one and sprayed it chrome, trimed it and affixed it to a box with some foam and glue for the base. Then found some lil vintage/vintage reproduction ornaments. One day I'll get a real one. I love yours :D🎄❤.
Those Christmas trees are timeless 🎄✨😀
Your outfit and you look gorgeous, love your ceramic Christmas tree collection. Overall lovely collection.
Love your vintage Christmas collections. Your intros are the best too!
I love, love, love everything about your vintage Christmas decor! You are a doll! Special nod to the "Young at Heart" sheet music...I'm planning on watching that movie with my Dad this weekend now that our tree is up.
Amazing as always thanks for sharing.
Love the decor!
Bubble lights are my favourite, my grandmother had them on her tree and I was mesmerized by them.
How creative you are buying the branches and your husband did a great job!
The room must look so nice at night...well done
Take care 🇨🇦 🎄
Thank you!! It does look so warm and pretty at night. Unfortunately, I don’t have a camera that can do well in low light.
So beautiful, you and your lovely home! Thanks so much for the great time travel to the 50s and 60s, happy decades for many of us!
Ok, stop being so awesome Laci! I love your home and decorations, its so gorgeous 😍!
lol thanks so much!
He didn't care as long as he still got his stocking (an extremely large stocking) stuffed. lol
Just because of the crappy year, I did manage to put lights in the only window at the front which can be seen by people. :-) 🎅🎄
Great video. Loved your outfit. Your decorations and furnishings are fabulous.
Your decorations are the. CUTEST!!! I remember my great aunts and grandmom had soooooo many of these things around their houses, and being particularly fascinated with the bubble lights and little Christmas village pieces! Thank you so much for sharing your warm, happy home with us! Happy Holidays! 🎄☃️✨🎁
Hi Liz
How are you doing?
New subscriber. Love your outfit. My Grandparents had the same tree and decorations, brings back happy memories. Unfortunately a family member got rid of all these pieces. Was so happy to watch your video. They like many of that generation mend and made do. No wastage. I feel the main problem about this Christmas, is not having family and friends around. Well that may change with limitations. However still will make the best we can for the Christmas season. Including watching it’s a wonderful life. TFS. Left me with a big smile on my face. Thank you.
