Thank you so much, John. I just received my Ditto + and was immediately underwhelmed to learn that there is no proper manual available from TC Electronic. I'm hoping that by watching your video I will be able to piece together what I need to get it going. Otherwise, back to the dealer!
I just picked up a Ditto + recently and am glad to have stumbled into this demo. Superbly done video, brother. Brilliant playing, as well (as always). Thanks for posting this!
Nice! I have the TC Wiretap and a Ditto. I put the Wiretap first in my chain and the ditto last. Having a looper (Wiretap) at the beginning of my chain is great so I can do hands free dialing in my tones.. saves a lot of time.
Thank you sooo much for this review and demo. I just started with looping a couple of weeks ago and trying to use the pedal from the get go was very tough. The “manual” if you could call it that is basically useless. I’ve been searching for a video to explain, in depth, how this pedal works. Thanks to you I have a much better understanding of how to apply this great little pedal. BTW, great tone from your Strat and you’ve some great ideas for creating backing tracks. Excellent playing too. Thanks again, I’ve subscribed and I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Cool, thanks mate. I'm not particularly au fait with loopers, thanks for checking this out on our behalf. I think it's the right balance between "so simple that Matt could use it" and "just enough functionality to interest other players as well". Now to check the price for one of these here in our little banana republic aka Australia... ...hurm....ok. But it does sound good and like the recovery of last loop function, I suppose that's.... almost affordable. Extended Play...yeah alright take my money.
Great review!, I'm thinking on buying this but I feel I can do all what it does on my HX Stomp looper minus the "extended mode", or do you know a way to emulate that on HX Stomp?, I wish it could have reverse playing and being able to switch between loops while playing so we could do A/B/C parts of songs
A) When a superb, creative player uses a looper, it always dazzles. And it really does here too. Wonderful sounds. B) what guitar is that? it's a beauty C) I've long loved TC pedals for cool stuff + affordable + really good sometimes. But over the years I've had too many pedals that got glitchy, and seen years of user feedback posts on their own pages, asking for answers/updates, ignored. TC, I'm out.
Hi, your playing is so beautiful my friend, thanks for sharing. I have a question, you can record over an uploaded drum truck? and the lenght of this track determines the lenght of the loop?
I had the original ditto and loved it, but now I just keep using the hx stomp looper. I manage haha. Sometimes I’d store ONE loop on the ditto for weeks because I made something random that felt hard to let go. Guess this thing would solve the issue of losing precious loops haha. Would like an even more advanced loop station though. I’m really impressed with the Singular Aeros, have you had a look at that one?
The Cornford was sounding good. I wouldn't have been able to tell it was that though without you saying. How weird as you'd have thought I'd be pretty familiar after playing it for 16 years.
That was very interesting! Can you confirm if it can do the following, as it is the use scenario I'm most interested in. You did some of this, but it is the last step I'm really interested in. 1. Record a one bar drum loop. OK 2. Extend that one bar loop into four bars. OK 3. Record an eight bar rhythm/chord part over the extended previous four bars. ? 4. Record a sixteen bar lead part over the extended previous eight bars, and save those sixteen bars. ??? Is the Ditto+ capable of doing all four steps without truncating (chopping off) any part of the last "lead" part played? If it can, that is sort of the "holy grail" for Loopers. 🤞🤞🤞 Thanks in advance. 😎
@@johnnathancordy I've been looking into this particular feature for many years, and as far as I can tell, the Pigtronix "Infinity Looper" can do this, but is a bit pricey at $450 new.
Another pedal I need to buy. Probably will load in a stored .mp3 file as a loop. The recording is something about keeping Left and Right hands Synchronised. Maybe even learn about making loops. Thanks.!!😄
I see now...i had a boom box with dual cassette heads, when i was a teen, and would make layered recordings...it was simple...im excited to get creative with this device..too bad they dont have simple stop and save buttons..or a good how to book...thanks for the tip.

@@johnnathancordy cool I wasn’t missing anything then. I figured it out by accident lol I still can’t believe there’s so little support dor this product It seems pretty straight forward but I will continue to educate myself with videos from people like you. Thank you
Bought the Ditto+ and it was too late when I tried to return it. The 99 loop claim is BS IMHO. Memory is limited and if you try to import files it actually doubles them in memory. No manual is really unforgiveable...I had to troll videos to figure it out.
@@johnnathancordy Hmmm. Nope. I don't think so. They appear to be a proprietary format. Since I'm lightyears behind you in ability, my idea of using it for chunks of songs (edited in audacity), I find I'm better served by the Music Looper app that I bought for my ipad. It's easy to wand over sections of a recording and torture myself as I desperately try to learn from the maestros. Easy speed and pitch change, too.
That's some lovely playing. So rare these days to hear any dynamic range, much appreciated.

great playing and demo
thx for the video! enjoy your brilliant playing as always! so tasteful!
One of the best loops i ever heard ❤
The new interface is nice. I've got the original one and tbh didn't get very far with it. The new interface certainly makes things more intuitive
Hi, your playing is so beautiful my friend, thanks for sharing. I have a question, you can record over an uploaded drum truck? and the lenght of this track determines the lenght of the loop?
Ditto+ yes better than Ditto. Can store up to 99 loops. Also I like the display. You can also make loops of different lengths.
How long is one loop? How many minutes per loop?
Thank you.
Nice socks John, but where are the drums coming from buddy? x

I've not, seems decent but it's a little expensive init!
Beautiful playing !!
I've tried other loopers, and not been happy. This one is quite good, and very small and easy to use.
Sublime playing mate 👏

I'm guessing it was on the 9 pin el84 setting. Bit more bounce and squish with that
Amazing amazing tone. Would love to know your setup for this.
Can it do sections? Like AABA AABA AABA loops? Looking to use this for jazz.
Love the first loop sir. What do you happen to be playing through?
In this video, the Ditto+ is in the loop of my Helix, except for the bit with the Box in shot, which is using Tony's Cornford Carrera

Is there a way to avoid the short burst when holding to delete?
Yes, when you tap twice to pause, keep holding down the button on the second tap. It will delete without the burst.
is it possible to play along with a playback? Can I insert songs in Ditto+?
How do I save loops? Can't find a manual anywhere.

How do you get your tone & Delay?
I've heard only good things about Ditto loopers but the Trio+ by Elctro Harmonix blows any loopers doors off. However it's MUCH more $.

Why do you need to extend the first 1 bar into 4 bars? Just play the first 1 bar and record 4 bars of guitar on top of that.
Example 14:22..
