Ah I remember these trains so well, as a teenager used them to travel between Angmering and Worthing or Hove. I remember the station guard at Angmering putting the board up by hand listing all the stops on the route up to London Victoria. I think the return service used to run all the way down to Portsmouth Harbour. Happy days!! Shame there is no DLC for that route because there is a shed load of stations to stop at.
+marshallmercury I have fond memories of these trains too! I'd quite like to see both the East and West Coastway routes represented in Train Simulator.
I don't know if it works in TS, but in real life shifting down to Shunt would hold slam door units at speed as it would prevent further resistances being broken and thus the train wouldn't accelerate further. Hope this us of use to you. another interesting video. I don't have the London to Brighton route but your video has persuaded me to stick on the wishlist, look forward to this route in a 442 a some point perhaps? Ben.
Ben Reid Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work like that in TS, and it's really difficult to maintain a speed in this train. Still, I enjoy driving it and it brings back many memories of my childhood and teenage years. The slammers went out of service in 2005 when I was 18, so I'm glad I had the chance to grow up with them :) Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed this. I highly recommend this route - in fact, I recommend it above most other routes in TS.. but that could be my personal bias towards it as it's in my area lol XD My next journey on this route will be in a Class 377 :)
Wills Gray-north Thank you :) I do indeed have plans to cover that route and it will likely be next month. I've got a couple more videos to do in the London and south east area first, and then Liverpool to Manchester will be the first northern route I cover.
I literally just did some videos on this route. And planning to do a few more to finish the scenarios. Just have to edit and publish. Great route, this is, and probably going to move to a fictional route following the finish of this one because I am curious about some Workshop content I located earlier this year.
You're a pro, thks for a great video and commentary.

Wills Gray-north There's been a slight change of plan. There is a Liverpool to Manchester video now up :)
New viewer here: "This actually sounds very similar to the real 'Driver's Eye View' videos you see".
Very well done, have subscribed.

I remember them being on the Reading to Waterloo line (I think it was the 421), they were awesome.

Interesting to see a scenario based in the 1980s, great video as always. Look forward to the next one :-D
William Mankelow Thank you. I'm hoping to have my last video of the year up today :) I'm hoping to make a couple more by the end of the week too.

Good to see your views are increasing ;-)
Thank you Jim :) There has been a noticeable slow but steady growth of this channel since I started this back in November. I hope it keeps growing! :)
You forgot that there was a station after passing through the covered way called Coulsdon North station which was later removed/demolished.
An other excellent video :) Do you have plans to cover Liverpool to Manchester? Keep up the good work :) !
