I never appreciated Adam-12 when it was on the air in its original run - as a kid, I thought it was boring. My mother liked it, though. I rediscovered this show a few years ago when it showed up on Me-TV, and I have now probably seen every episode at least 8 times, if not more. A gem of a drama that was probably the most realistic police TV series in its day. I'm glad you chose to feature it here on your RUclips channel.
I watched Adam-12 back in the day when it originally aired as a kid and on Me-TV. I must of watched each episode who knows how many times and NEVER get tired of it. Adam-12 along with The Brady Bunch I can never get tired of watching it again and again and again. 😊❤
One of my favorite shows growing up. Unlike in today's world, police officers were RESPECTED by the public back in the day. Today the police are vilified and looked at as the bad scary guys.🤔 Also, Kent McCord had set his sights on a football career and a scholarship to play football at the University of Utah. One day a friend asked Kent if he would like to participate in a touch football game. This was no ordinary game, as Kent would be playing on a team captained by Ricky Nelson, and none other than Elvis Presley would lead the opposing squad. As a result of this game, Kent began a friendship with Ricky Nelson that quickly led to his first acting job on the immensely popular series The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. At first a background player, Kent soon became a regular on the show, and would appear as part of America’s favorite family for the next five years. Kent began to take acting much more seriously, and finally made the decision to pursue a career as an actor. During this time he worked on a mulitude of films and television shows doing bits, background and stunts... then eventually co-starring on Adam-12. 👍
I first got into Adam 12 this summer when I was recovering from surgery and couldn't do anything but watch MeTv. After I came home I got the DVDs and found out MeTv cut the episodes down to 1/2 hr. They were an hour long.😊
Jack Hogan also had many appearances on Hawaii 5-O, usually as a Coast Guard officer. I don't know if it was really a "recurring" role, as I don't recall hearing his character's name, but it might as well have been.
I was in LA back in the 60s, 70,s and the LAPD were very much like Reed and Malloy. We could use that template today. Now we have bearded, tattooed, often overweight and undereducated police officers across the country looking like they just walked out of a set from Sons of Anarchy. nowhere near the quality of officer back then.
So funny that after years of watching the show when it originally aired I somehow had a different picture in my head of what the "One Adam 12" lady looked like when I finally saw a picture of Sharon Clarege! Haha! My oldest sister is in one of the episodes in a street background shot playing her guitar when she happened to be in the LA area! My brother shouted it out when he spotted her and later when she came back during the holidays she had said she remembered some filming going on but didn't know what it was for!

This was a period of time before California became a sanctuary hellhole, where there was no graffiti, where police officers had no tattoos and dressed properly, and women were nice and thin. If they tried to film this again and make a remake, it would be nearly impossible.

I remember watching Adam-12 with my late great DAD when I was just a kid.
Milner, was also a child star. He was in a movie called "Life with Father" starring, Irene Dunn, and William Powell it was one of my favorite movies 😊
Milner also had a part on one of the b&w Dragnetswhen he was much younger.
First time i saw Martin Milner was on a Twilight Zone. A good actor and a gentleman.
One of my family's favorite shows.
Great actors and show. Still watch MeTV.💯💯💞💞💞💙💙💙
Great show
Jack Hogan played Kirby on Combat with the great Vic Morrow. 1962-67.
Then you for another good episode!

Yes. His square jawed, cleft chin and good looks helped to. He was a good actor.

Good stuff! Riveting.
THANK-YOU ALL FOR ENTERTAINING US. I ENJOYED ADAM 12 THEN AS I DO NOW. GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND YOU'RE FAMILIES.

They portrayed the near perfect police officers. It made me want to be a cop.

Very interesting. What a great show. Whatever happened to Brinkman?
It was very interesting.
Update: Kent McCord turned 82 on 26 September 2024, and Jack Hogan passed away over the summer of 2024.
Looking back after all these years, these shows are sorta innocent. The emphasis on that gateway bad drug Marijuana!
