    I'm also learning 7 new languages this year! I already speak Dutch, English, French, Swedish, Spanish, Italian and German. In 2024 I'm adding Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Norwegian, (modern) Greek, and Esperanto.

      You mean playing and messing around in 13 languages? Pro tip: stick to a few so you actually get something out of it instead of being bad in many languages except your top 3 favorites.

    Nice video, 10-12 languages! That’s crazy,I’d like to know what they all are. I speak English and Lithuanian and I’m learning Russian in school right now. I used to speak Irish but I’ve forgotten. 😂😅

      Try duo for a bit, see if you like the language, learn maybe 1 or 2 hundred words, then try to get as much content, children books and music as possible :)
      That's what works for me, it's not boring and works. But again, that's for me

    Armenian is a gorgeous language and it has almost every sound found in all the languages. You should give it a try.

    • @Kurdedunaysiri
      @Kurdedunaysiri 9 месяцев назад +2

      Northern Kurdish is very similar about sounds. Armenian Alphabet would fit our language so good. We have about 36 without xw diphthong, ü used in many dialects and Arabic sounds of h’ and g’ which we actually adapted into Kurdish.

    • @RhapsodyinLingo
      @RhapsodyinLingo  9 месяцев назад +2

      I love the alphabet so much. I remember adding Armenian somewhere on my "wishlist" back when I was in Sweden and had an Armenian friend! But it's been a while :')

      I can't really afford trips that far for now, but it's definitely on my list of destinations (I recently made an Instagram story about them). But if I want to learn some of the language, it'll take a while for sure!

    I used Clozemaster for a few months to learn Vietnamese, but I got tired of the text to speech, lots of errors, and the fact that the accent was northern, but I’m focusing on southern. I prefer Glossika somewhat. It’s improved somewhat in recent years, it’s just the cost can be high. I also wish the sentences were better organized in Clozemaster.

    • @RhapsodyinLingo
      @RhapsodyinLingo  9 месяцев назад +1

      I have the text to speech permanently turned off. As for the errors...true, they get quite annoying, because the sentences are crowdsourced on Tatoeba, which means some are low quality (such as missing diacritics). These clozes, along with clozes of foreign words, muddle the frequency lists a bit. That's why the ignore button is crucial!

    Hm, I thought I was Clozemaster's biggest fan! 😉It's been my only app for a long time. It just works!
    I'm not sure if you've seen, but the beta FFT is available for Welsh now. We now have 10,000 total clozes, 1,000 sentences per level! Mike also got the male & female TTS voices that Duolingo uses for Welsh. The new FFT is a little like the original frequency collections, e.g. I've gotten _dweud_ more than a couple times, but it's WAY better than the old random collection. Welsh has a particularly bad random collection compared to the others I've done. I see that there are phrases included in the new set as clozes, which is great. FWIW it seems so far like the collection seems to favor southern Welsh. I hope there are some northern goodies to come. All in all, I'm so pleased for this development and I can't wait to play through the set this year.

    • @RhapsodyinLingo

      so I just tried it out! It's not just southern I think, there's some literary welsh in there, what with the 'ef' and 'dylem' - but I don't mind, I actually want to learn those things haha
      I've started to report and ignore some grammatically incorrect sentences (yes I care about welsh grammar more than 90% of welsh speakers), but having started from the very beginning, I'm beginning to have fun after pressing 'ignore all' on the basic words!
