  • Tonight we're headed to the Bayou at Boatwright's Dining Hall, a table service restaurant located off the lobby of Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort. Specializing in dishes such as jambalaya, red beans and rice, and blackened salmon, we've been wanting to eat here for a while. Does the food taste as good as it sounds? Let's fine out... Enjoy!

Hey from the South Carolina Coast. Just found your channel, cool, subbed. We have stayed at Port Orleans many times, Princess suite. Just wifey and I doing "adult Disney" ( eating and drinking our way through the parks, ok mostly drinking ) Ate at Boatwriights several times. Great place. Shrimp and Grits, the best Jerry, the best...

I'm going just to see the "I guess, boat-making equipment on the wall" and the "adorable" monolith boat skeleton :) Another informative and hilarious review. You guys pretty much mirror my taste and sense of humor, so, many kudos and thanks!

Great review! The liquorice taste came from the Pernod - Pernod and black (blackcurrant cordial) was a big thing here in the 80s!

Sazerac is my favorite cocktail! Pretty standard to be served up and that licorice is absinthe. Try it again at a good cocktail bar (I have had hit and miss experiences with them at Abracadabar)

I can see the appeal, but anything resembling licorice is not my favorite. Maybe I’ll give it another try one day

Too much cheese?!?!?!?! Not possible! LOL! Great review. This place doesn't get much love generally, so it was good to hear that the food was good.

Interesting! That’s a NY Sour with the wine floater. I’m curious if you know of a whiskey sour on property that has the egg white?

I ate there in October 2019 when I was there on a trip with my best friend and her family. We all enjoyed it. I had read mixed reviews about it even then, but I figured it was worth a try because I thought the menu looked pretty good (and I am a SUPER picky eater) and we were staying at French Quarter. I will say though, we thought about going on one of our recent trips with my family, and looking at the menu, they had taken a lot of things off and there was nothing really on it anymore that this picky eater would eat. I think I would still recommend it to people that are not picky eaters (if the food quality is still as good as it was in 2019), but I as a picky eater don't know that I would go. I'm not a foody either really though. Give me something that I can eat and tastes good and I am happy. Oh! I personally believe there is no such thing as too much cheese.🤣 I don't like pimento cheese though.

You certainly could review Tambu Lounge. Tambu has ambience, themeing, drinks and food. Just sayin’ 😉
