The first time I ate there my husband and I stayed at PO French Quarter. It had rained all day, so we decided to eat at the resort. It was so cozy and the food was wonderful. I have been back 2 times since and the food was just as good as the first time. It's one of my favorites.
Abita Beer is from a brewery in the New Orleans area. We ate at Boatwright's last month. We had jambalaya, red beans & rice, shrimp & grits and the cajun chicken. We also had boudin balls. All of the food was over spiced, except for the cajun chicken (which should have been spicy). Even my side of greens was spicy. Boatwright's does not exemplify what New Orleans' food is like. Many people think that adding cayenne pepper is how to make our food. Very wrong. Our food is savory and draws you in for more. It's an experience. The boudin balls were small and dry with not much boudin. Order from Billy's Boudin in Scott, La and throw them in your air fryer. Your taste buds will dance with delight! So, Boatwrights is a no-go back for us. Thx for the review though. Love your content!
I loved seeing your dad! His whole face lights up when he smiles - Ryan looks like him! His chicken portion looked small, but it did look like a pretty good meal for both of you. Thanks for your honest opinions and comparisons. You've definitely become my "go-to" food critic now!! 😊
My husband Norm and I enjoy Boatwright’s; the boudin balls are extremely tasty! The last time we went I ordered the prime rib which was superb; the cook and seasoning was impressive!
Congrats on a very well-deserved 20k Kristin!!! Your videos are always entertaining and informative! Looking forward to tagging along as you hit all the milestones to come!
Ate there back in 2014, loved their food, especially their cornbread! In fact, managed together their recipe for it. Mind you, had to downsize the recipe by at least half. My son and I both loved their French onion soup and jambalaya. My husband loved their prime rib, everything they had then was delicious! I absolutely loved their bread pudding and hubby loved their pecan pie.
Awesome video! I love Boatwright’s. There are fried pimento balls there that are amazing! The shrimp and grits are wonderful, too. I’ll have to try the salmon next time!
@@wrightdownmainstreet just wondering have you done any restaurants in the Swan and Dolphin? My daughter is having her wedding in the reserve. We have never eaten in those hotels. Curious.
New Orleans’ ties to France and French Cuisine come from the Louisiana Purchase. The United States purchased a lot of land from France in 1803. This land was Louisiana.
@@ginatrifiletti8790 thank you! Nervous, excited and completely in the dark because I suck at technology haha. But I know my passions among theme parks and my talent of cooking so I can’t wait to make this work!
This was so funny to me because I'm from Cajun-country 😊 And yes, Louisiana French is a thing. Long story short, French people named the Acadians came down from Canada to Louisiana in the 1700s and the word "Acadian" turned into "Cajun" ❤ Next time get boudin for sure!! We have boudin at like every restaurant where I live!!
Oh this looks great I'll try it soon thanks never been there Love jazz that all looks rear love Cajun food Gonna try the French onion burger at deluxe too Thanks much !!!
Port Orleans has become our second favorite resort, right behind the Poly. Our favorite part is an evening walk along the river after dinner to the reward of beignets at French Quarter.🫶🏻 The boat is nice, but the walk seems to transport us right into NOLA and we love the charm. ❤️
I'm gonna have to disagree... no such thing as too much cheese!!!! Lol! If you're home for anything Lefty's in Barnegat NJ has my favorite French Onion Soup!

It was cute the way your father backed away from the microphone. My mother always liked the ends of a loaf of bread too.
Excellent vid- thanks for sharing
Love your food reviews!! You always make me hungry and are very honest in your assesments. Love you!! ❤

A lot of French settlers stayed in the territories bringing with them their cultures and food
Tejas! The best. I still leave my jacket in the car since you leave every time smelling like Mexican food.
This is so true 😂😂😂
We need to do tejas and studio tour with everyone when you’re back up!! I’m ten from tejas so when there’s a wait come visit!
I have a 2 year plan to move from Los Angeles to Orlando to start cooking vlogs and theme park vlogs. Hopefully I’ll catch you in the parks one day!

Enjoy!
Is it scat cat’s or cat’s scat lounge? The latter would be hilarious.
Is that "really" your dad or is this another Ryan situation? 😅
