At a mere $40 ($36 with the code) the price is certainly right. It was either DUA's "Popped Cherry" or this. At your recommendation, I've decided on this. I just ordered it. I agree, perhaps living with a bottle of something close enough to the original will satiate the need---perhaps permanently---so I don't have to mortgage the house for a bottle of Tom Ford.

I've had the chance to wear both Tom Ford's Lost Cherry next to this very lovely clone from Montagne Parfums and I'm happy to report two things: 1. Your review could not be more accurate, sir. Well done! 2. I may prefer the Parfum de Cerise to Tom Ford's masterpiece (at least for now). It would be a challenge for the casual observer to tell these two apart. But there is one area where they diverge, and that's in the projection and sillage. Both are excellent performers---TF is absolutely beastly---but where the TF enters the room loudly demanding attention, the MP speaks more softly, and yet still commanding attention, but in a more respectful manner. I think that suits my style more, as it probably will some others, especially considering the price difference. Anyway, your review was dead on, and now the other fragrances from this house have my curiosity. How about you? Any chance you'll be reviewing those? I own lost cherry and really like , it sounds like they did a good job recreating / making an alternative. Montale Intense cherry & Mancera wild cherry are other good alternatives too. Great always 👍
I just discovered Lost Cherry, and the price/longevity issues led me to Parfum de Cerise. Having just received my bottle today, I'll share my initial thoughts, compliments of my untrained nose (disclaimer!). The biggest difference is the opening. LC is bursting, tart, bright red cherry compote whereas Parfum de Cerise falls a bit flat with what I perceive as a more muted, synthetic smell. After this, the two scents become more similar but to me, the readily identifiable notes in LC are not as strong or clear in the clone, which feels a bit muddled. Also, I don't get quite the same progression through the notes as I get with LC. Not sure longevity or projection is much better, but at this price, that's ok. Overall, this is a decent clone of LC, and I'm going to experiment with some layering to see if i can enhance the notes I really want to bring out (layer over an almond oil, etc). I'm content with this until I find a good discount on LC. Edit: After a couple hours, a few layerings, and numerous whiffs, this won't replace LC for me, but I've stopped expecting it to be LC and am really enjoying it for its own merits. Layering seems to provide a depth/anchoring that really elevates this frag!
Very interesting review and I love the combination of the almond and cherry liqueur in Lost Cherry. I was surprised that it last quite a while on my skin 4-6 hours and normally I’d want more but this works for me. What tipped it over was that my wife loved it so that did it for me. After this review I decided to spray House of Sillage N.001 and Lost Cherry. I smell like a boozy cherry and vanilla cobbler

Ohh I've been looking for anyone who has worn all 3 version of the clones. So please tell me, which of the three smells closest to TF Lost Cherry, particularly on the top note cherry part? And does that part last long?
@@hazrieimran4658 I've tried all 3. Full size of the Montagne and DUA and a sample of the Alexandria version. The DUA is a little too sweet for my liking and the top notes lasts a little too long. Takes a while to get to the dry down. Not as close to Lost Cherry as the Montagne in my opinion. The Montagne is 99% close to Lost Cherry, honestly you could sell it as a lost cherry decant and no one would complain (not that you should do that...). The cherry opening on the Montagne is not as sweet as the DUA, there is also some almond in the background that is missing from the DUA. Longevity and performance wise DUA and Montagne are tied at around 6-7 hours with 4 hours of projection. The Alexandria one just doesn't seem up to par with DUA or Montagne.

Just got this the other day. Idk what lost cherry smells like but this is interesting. It's definitely something different in my collection which I like but I honestly was expecting a sour cherry vibe this is more so creamy and vanilla with cherry taking the driver's seat but vanilla is a close passenger. This actually smells really good with pineapple bon bon in the same house. It lasts for some hours but sits close to the skin. Haven't worn it outside yet so I can't really say too much but this is like a date night fragrance that you know is gonna end in you getting some cheeks because that maybe the only way she smells it.
Yes because you can actually pick up on each individual note in the fragrance. I haven't gotten a headache yet. so that's a huge win. On me I smell more almond than I do cherry. I'm going to try Dossier Ambery Cherry and compare the two. If I don't like either, I might get the actual TF one. that one has the cherry note but it didn't last long on me and I didn't smell any other notes. If all else fails, I'll just stick with my Apricot Pruvee by Phlur. I feel like cherry is a hard note to fully capture because I've yet to find a fragrance that smells like black cherries just picked in the middle of summer. Sorry for rambling 😅

I'm a big fan of Idôle by Lancôme, Miss Dior by Dior and Ari by Ariana Grande (I usually mix the three of em together)... I haven't tried Tom Ford fragrances, so which one do you recommend me to try?? Based on those 3 amazing perfumes. I'm about to buy on line and do not want to mess up 😅

Received my decant of lost cherry today and to my nose this smells almost exactly like guerlain l'homme ideal edp. Feel like the latter performs better on my skin.

I just got a sample of this and their Aventus clone. This smells great, but I'm a little unsure about the Pineapple Royale. I'm just curious what are your thoughts on it. Also have you tried their new Layton clone Vanille Fraiche?
What are you unsure about regarding Pineapple Royale? I got a full bottle when they first launched in April. Very good clone of modern Aventus (2018 and newer). Gets about 6-7 hours longevity with 3-4 hours of good projection. 2018-2019 Aventus lasts 3 hours lol. If you want a clone of older Aventus (2015-2016) go with Parfums Vintage Emperor EDP. (Don't get Emperor Extrait or Pineapple vintage intense) Emperor EDP is the best "old aventus" clone and Pineapple Royale is the best "modern aventus" clone. Period! I don't have a bottle of Vanille Fraiche yet, but I got a free sample of it from their facebook group "Montagne Parfums". Seems like 95%-97% similar to Layton on the opening, after 20 minutes on the dry down it's damn near 99% close to Layton.
I have but I didn't get that same powdery dry down (at least not on my skin.) and truthfully I only gave it the short lived couple of test sprays at the department store. But, it is probably worth picking up a decant online. Thanks for the recommendation. @@Redolessence

LE BONBON is so good! It's 99% similar to Baccarat Rouge 540 EDP....Just buy LE BONBON and then buy an official carded sample off the Maison Francis Kurkdjian website to compare. You won't be disappointed! That's how close LE BONBON is to BR540 EDP.
Santal 33 is their best clone in my opinion....14-16 hours longevity with 8 hours of nuclear projection. It's 99% close on the scent accuracy. Zara Scent #1 is good too but it's only about 95% close with 4 hours longevity.
Agreed! It's amazing. I only have a sample of their Tuxedo clone though. It's called Ambre musc. When I'm done using up the sample and my Tuxedo decant, i'm getting a full size Ambre Musc.

They both also contained the note of hyacinth, and it is said to be the most concentrated note in both of the fragrances. Clearly this new emerging house has reached out to you, do you actually consider them worth wearing? Would you wear them? I'm not a fan of cheap fragrances (at all) but I find that quality on the level of Parfums Vintage is worthy of the not-so-cheap (but still not MFK level) price.
Hey! I find the quality of these offerings to be quite good. The concentration is good as well. I have a hard time telling the difference between this and the original some times, but I think this is worth it for someone who's on a budget for sure.
Nah, DUA waccck af. They just use iBerchem or Parfex oils and mix with alcohol. Total frauds that claim to be perfumers. 30ml for $65 is a rip off. Still a ripoff even with their 15% off coupon.
Hey Steven! I haven't tried anything from this brand, however I do own a version of it by Alexandria Fragrances that I've been really happy with! The biggest issue people have with the original Lost Cherry is the longevity. I'm getting 10-12 hours out of mine which is perfect for me and my 10 hour work days! You should really give Alexandria a try sometime! Their version of Black Phantom is phenomenal as well!
I personally think the packaging is minimalist. New company simple packaging. And I am all for dupes. I want some money in my retirement fund not all in bottles of over priced fragrance.

I think they're great for the money, but I've personally have tried some Aventus clones that are much closer.

I'm a big fan of Idôle by Lancôme, Miss Dior by Dior and Ari by Ariana Grande (I usually mix the three of em together)... I haven't tried Tom Ford fragrances, so which one do you recommend me to try?? Based on those 3 amazing perfumes.

Steven, what do you consider to be lightly or heavily applied? How many sprays is light or heavy for you?
It all depends on the fragrance and the time of the year, but generally speaking, over 6 sprays came come across quite heavy to many people.

I just got a sample of this and their Aventus clone. This smells great, but I'm a little unsure about the Pineapple Royale. I'm just curious what are your thoughts on it. Also have you tried their new Layton clone Vanille Fraiche?

What are you unsure about regarding Pineapple Royale? I got a full bottle when they first launched in April. Very good clone of modern Aventus (2018 and newer). Gets about 6-7 hours longevity with 3-4 hours of good projection. 2018-2019 Aventus lasts 3 hours lol. If you want a clone of older Aventus (2015-2016) go with Parfums Vintage Emperor EDP. (Don't get Emperor Extrait or Pineapple vintage intense) Emperor EDP is the best "old aventus" clone and Pineapple Royale is the best "modern aventus" clone. Period! I don't have a bottle of Vanille Fraiche yet, but I got a free sample of it from their facebook group "Montagne Parfums". Seems like 95%-97% similar to Layton on the opening, after 20 minutes on the dry down it's damn near 99% close to Layton.

any recommendations out there for a longer-lasting, better projecting Prada Luna Rossa? I love that scent but it is super short lived.
Have you tried Prada L'Homme? It has a similar iris note, and the performance on it is pretty good. I would also try the intense version.
I have but I didn't get that same powdery dry down (at least not on my skin.) and truthfully I only gave it the short lived couple of test sprays at the department store. But, it is probably worth picking up a decant online. Thanks for the recommendation. @@Redolessence

LE BONBON is so good! It's 99% similar to Baccarat Rouge 540 EDP....Just buy LE BONBON and then buy an official carded sample off the Maison Francis Kurkdjian website to compare. You won't be disappointed! That's how close LE BONBON is to BR540 EDP.

Santal 33 is spot on! The Aventus clone perhaps isn't the closest I've tried.

Absolutely, and the performance is a lot better too. Zara really wins in the affordability department.
Santal 33 is their best clone in my opinion....14-16 hours longevity with 8 hours of nuclear projection. It's 99% close on the scent accuracy. Zara Scent #1 is good too but it's only about 95% close with 4 hours longevity.
They also have the best YSL tuxedo clone
Agreed! It's amazing. I only have a sample of their Tuxedo clone though. It's called Ambre musc. When I'm done using up the sample and my Tuxedo decant, i'm getting a full size Ambre Musc.

They both also contained the note of hyacinth, and it is said to be the most concentrated note in both of the fragrances. Clearly this new emerging house has reached out to you, do you actually consider them worth wearing? Would you wear them? I'm not a fan of cheap fragrances (at all) but I find that quality on the level of Parfums Vintage is worthy of the not-so-cheap (but still not MFK level) price.
Hey! I find the quality of these offerings to be quite good. The concentration is good as well. I have a hard time telling the difference between this and the original some times, but I think this is worth it for someone who's on a budget for sure.

Nah, DUA waccck af. They just use iBerchem or Parfex oils and mix with alcohol. Total frauds that claim to be perfumers. 30ml for $65 is a rip off. Still a ripoff even with their 15% off coupon.

Hey Steven! I haven't tried anything from this brand, however I do own a version of it by Alexandria Fragrances that I've been really happy with! The biggest issue people have with the original Lost Cherry is the longevity. I'm getting 10-12 hours out of mine which is perfect for me and my 10 hour work days! You should really give Alexandria a try sometime! Their version of Black Phantom is phenomenal as well!
