- We often get asked how to use our Coax stripping tool. We put together this video on how to use the tool and crimp on a BNC antenna connector.
SAT-COAX: Stripper tool
SAT-001: Crimper tool
SAT-031: Crimper Die for Coax
SA-1010M: Male BNC connector.

I wish they had Snap-N-Seal style compression connectors for RG400. I use those on RG-11 and RG-6 cable and they are much nicer. You can strip in one operation and crimp in one more.
I hate to be that guy.
Double cimping those pins is just a recipe for metal fatigue induced cracking and failure of the pin.
And the same applies with the outer ferrule.
When I worked F-16s we had an airman that crimped, rotated, then crimped again. It made a star shape and completely severed the center conductor.
I didn’t see a double crimp of the pin, but I did of the sleeve. I don’t double crimp the sleeve either. I like having the uncrimped bell at the end to ease the transition to the cable. Makes it less likely to damage the cable if it gets pulled sideways on the connector.
