NAK is a class all his own!!
No one compares with his amazing insight! ماشاء اللہ
Yet he is human so we should embrace that aspect of all our scholars and leaders!
    سبحان الله
We should be honored to have him among us, enlightening our youth as well as ourselves! He is helping us understand the divine speech in a way that we have never been able to for all these years and discussions past!
I feel closer to Allah الله سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى and His books because of NAK!

That's all fine. But he set so high standards for us all Muslims over the years that I can no longer bring myself to listen to him again ever since his very public 'episodes'. The collective opinion of a group of very well known Muslim women vs NAK I find the most damaging. I've tried again and again but I just can't listen to him. It's not the same. I'm not stopping anyone and encourage ppl to and I'm also a long term subscriber to his TV but I just can't listen to him. Plz pray

The Quran and Sunnah advise us to listen to the accuracy of the message and not punish the messengers for their shortcomings.
May Allah الله سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى allow us to forgive others in this world as we expect to be forgiven when we will be judged for all our shortcomings.

@@abubakersiddiqi6818 Ibn Al-Qayyim said, “ Whoever shames his brother for a sin, he WILL be tested with the same sin“ how dumb would we look infront of Allah for judging people for the sins he has already forgiven them for? Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullah) said:
“Sin may be more beneficial for a person, if it leads him to repent, than doing a lot of acts of worship. This is what is meant by the words of one of the salaf:
‘A person may commit a sin and enter Paradise because of it, or he may do an act of worship and enter Hell because of it.’
      They said: ‘How is that?’
He said: ‘He may commit a sin and continues to think about it, and when he stands or sits or walks he remembers his sin, so he feels ashamed and repents and seeks forgiveness and regrets it, so that will be the means of his salvation.
And he may do a good deed and continue to think about it, and when he stands or sits or walks he remembers it and it fills him with self-admiration and pride, so it is the cause of his doom. lets infact be jealous of NAK for Allah has given him the knowledge we dont have and we are beneffiting from. I always wish i could do the same sadaqatul jariya these sheiks have here online. May Allah soften your heart brother as Allah softened the hearts of Khalid bin walid and Abu sufyan. Allahuma ameen.

I hope I’m not being sinful with this hypotheses, but EPIC, I imagine, have been losing a few attendees with the LGBT issue floating around (I’m not saying I’ve taken a definitive stance, just trying to be factual). So, hypothesising here, it would makes sense inviting Ustadh back, to ensure people don’t completely desert the masjid. Again, may Allah forgive me if I’ve been sinful, but the timing is odd. So many of the scholars/community turned their backs on Ustadh in favour of feminists, so I’m surprised Ustadh is suddenly back here.

Let us only listen to our scholars for the sake of BENEFICIAL knowledge to grow closer to Allah and not to idolize them only to have our image of them distorted if something unexpected is revealed.

  • @bnegash8091
    @bnegash8091 2 года назад +2

“Every son of Adam commits sin, and the best of those who commit sin are those who repent.”
What makes public spaces like this interesting is the kind of dialogue they provoke. The guest lecturer would probably like to see some gadflies who do not sing to the choir. Heaping the man with adulations and praise seldom dispense new ideas. The fact is we tend to snap out of our stupor when our assumptions are challenged whereupon we try to do the same as we challenge the underlined assumptions in return. It is in the give and take where we arrive at a higher level of understanding with one another.
One can safely assume those who are flummoxed by Ustaz Nouman's visit on a family night to EPIC have not thoroughly thought through their assumptions. As a public speaker, a leader is naturally held at a higher standard and that the bar is higher than the average community member. This, however, doesn’t automatically put the leaders on a high moral pedestal that they should noy be given a chance to collect their heels and return to their graceful leadership posts.
In fact, the very shortcomings are signs of their humanity donned with frailties; faults and moral lapses that we ourselves can fall prey to. The only difference is that ours is committed, not in public space, thus, not subjected to the kind of scrutiny our leaders face. Therefore, just because by Allah's grace our lapses didn't come out to the public doesn't mean we are somehow better than those who had to grapple with their lapses in the public square. Acting more pious instead of showing sympathy toward our fellow human beings who may have fallen from grace is tantamount to an empty bravado as meaningless banter as they come.
To the contrary, when a leader steps up to the plate and rises beyond and above his past failures ought to be looked at as a model of a resolute character and have affinity toward such a leader who is able to continue his calling in life despite the shortcomings of his past. The caption above comes from "Repentance, Redemption and Salvation”, which is part and parcel of what it means to be a believer.
