There's actually a small country town called Adelaide near Maryborough somewhat near Melbourne. I never knew it until a few months ago when I roadtripped from Newcastle to Hobart. Not many people know it though unless they come from that general area :)

I remember watching All Day at an off the top of the dome freestyle battle in the ghettoest part of Adelaide back in 07. Bloke ended up winning that shit cos the last dude he battled said he fucked his own mum by accident. I live in a pretty rich part of Adelaide I remember seeing him around the place pretty sure he went to a private school. But despite how much shit he talks in rhymes blokes a dope emcee and I'm glad hes making some thing of himself in Hip Hop. Hip Hop culture runs deep in Adelaide we got heaps of crews staying true to Hip Hop in its authentic form. A lot of heads into graffiti for life here. Peace to All day for reppin ADL

im australian and i lament iggy azelea as a representation of hip hop anywhere in the world. lol sway is wrong and right in the sense that iggy azelea contributes to this 'shallow' perception of hip hop in australia, but even so that would apply to america as well. it aggravates me because nobody over here seems to have any interest or appreciation for artists from the 90s such as big l, nas, atcq, lupe, mos def, common, big pun or current artists like lupe, mac miller, jay rock, ab soul, q, etc. yet they all dickride drake due to the fact that his songs get on the radio over here and somehow think hes the pinnacle of hip hop
