Why are people mentioning whether this is written or not? Writing is not easy at all, neither is freestyling. These rappers don't write the title of these videos. I feel like people disrespect hip-hop by debating about this. This guy is the epitome of hip-hop. His writtens are incredible, His freestyles are incredible. I'm not going to lie, I just want to hear BARS BARS BARS. I couldn't give a fuck if this is written, if anything I prefer writtens a bit more because its more intricate and thought-out. I don't think you understand what a freestyle is. It's when you find any flow on a beat and you rap a written rhyme or if you want, go off the top of the dome.
Jaron Brown The term "freestyle" has been redefined in my opinion. Back in the day a real freestyle was creating lyrics on the spot using nothing but your ability to form rhymes spontaneously, the only time you would use pre-written lyrics is when you were stumbling for topics and needed filler to stay on beat. King Los CAN freestyle, he is VERY talented at it, I'm not denying it. But this isnt real freestyling. This is just him spitting pre-written lyrics. You can tell by the fact that he never stumbles or even comes remotely close to being off-beat. Either way I love this video and just think the term freestyling shouldnt be thrown around so loosely.

Its only because he added parts from one of his songs intro, I've seen King Los perform live with kid ink, he did a freestyle for us, not written at all. it was dope af This wasn't written, it was thought through. King Los hands down most underrated rapper in the game. You can't take away how good he spits. Fire.

He said "my intelligence begins where yours peaks at" way back on the Desperados track, and many years later in life (when he was firmly a popular underground emcee) he spat a bunch of lines directly using the word 'curriculum' in a similar context.
Still, Los is the truth. I hope 'mumble rap' isn't the death knell for classically trained emcees like Los.
You kinda had to reach to make any sort of connection between los' bars and canibus. There is some similarity no doubt but emcees can use a concept and put their own spin on it, happens all the time. Biting bars is one thing, using a certain influence and making that shit unique is both paying homage and displaying your own style.

What I love most about Sway and other hip-hop radio show hosts is that, when a rapper loses his step on a freestyle, they jump in and help him get right back into his flow without making it to obvious, it might seem like a small thing but it actually takes a fair amount of consideration and skill.

For the record, I adore King Los because he is one of the realest rappers to bless the mic compared to other mainstream artists, and whether it is written or not, I really couldn't care.
His freestyles are great, but this was written. You can tell by the lack of hesitation in his words and just the way that he can drop his always flaming bars without thinking. Also, the person in the multicolor Adidas jacket behind him clearly quotes what he says a few times in this video. You can clearly tell that this was written when you carefully listen to it.
Just to say it again, this freestyle was amazing. King Los is goin, and the only thing that's gonna hold him back is the mainstream locking out beautiful artists like Los. I just hope he keeps putting up bars like these. I won't say he's a legend but in my book he's one of the greats. Props to Los.
