We took my mother-in-law to Holland a few years ago during 'Tulip Time' for the tulip festival. It is beautiful and I highly recommend. They spend a lot of manpower planting tulips everywhere, and I mean everywhere!
Like with @Scottman895 and his visit to Frankenmuth, I'm happy you went to Nelis' so I don't have to. It is nearby and I drive by once in a while but... the tourist shopping thing is not for me! And, I am happy you enjoyed Windmill Island. I've been there but only in the winter so it was cool to see the inside of the windmill.
That looked like a great day. I agree Dawn I loved seeing the windmill too. The Dutch village was so beautiful and looks like a great place to take my grandkids. I loved Holland Mi. Such a friendly town. I left my phone which was also my wallet at the time on the table at a subway restaurant. Went back and it turned in. In Chicago where I live it would have been gone forever. Great lake town.

Dawn that chicken and apple dumpling had my mouth watering. My favorite food. What a really nice amusement park. So nice and clean. The shops were really cute. I just loved the ferris wheel and merry go round were very well painted. Have a wonderful day. God Bless.
That apple dumpling looked great! We discovered your channel in 2020 when planning a trip to Gatlinburg, and we are going to western Michigan in two weeks. Holland is the last planned stop on our trip.
It’s “Russ-es” (plural) lol. Also, Dutch Village is a tourist trap and nothing there has any historical value to the Michigan Dutch. You should have been here during Tulip Time and gone to downtown Holland instead. There’s barely any Dutch culture left in the area but if you drove out of town you could see some of the settlers homes including the Van Raalte estate (founder of Holland)
