The dotted top was really cute!

It was cute but it wasn't very flattering. (And it was overpriced.)

Like them all. If you wore the flannel shirt as an over shirt buttons wouldn’t gap.

That's a good point about an undershirt.

Hi! I’m new here! I found you for your decluttering videos!👍🏼 Thought I’d watch this one too. I’ve heard of StitchFix but have never been that interested. I don’t need to buy new clothes that often and I’m super picky with my clothes. I haven’t seen any of your other StitchFix videos but I think I agree with you. I think this whole box is a dud. I even think you could find better khaki pants. Those pants have strange wrinkles and just don’t fit well or flatter your figure. You could definitely do better. I’ve been watching some “style” type videos lately (even though I’m not really into trends). But the best thing I’ve learned is to think of trying to trick the eye into seeing an hourglass shape. So take your smallest body area (usually right under the rib cage for women) and then work from there. In other words, accentuate your smallest part and then build your other areas (shoulders, lower leg)
to look larger (I know it sounds crazy to intentionally make some parts of your body look bigger than they are but it works!). It’s all about body proportion. This concept has totally helped me figure out what to buy and what looks good on me! So for you, from only seeing two of your videos, it looks like the smallest part of you is your waist (right under your rib cage). So for instance that navy blue? top with polka dots, although super cute (the shoulders on it are good because it builds them out to look wider than your waist area) doesn’t work for you because it’s too blousy and hides your waist and then it is too tight right at your hips. It cuts you and draws attention to your larger area. The same for the green top..it stops the eye right at your largest area and hides the smallest parts of you. You need to flip that around. In my opinion, shorter tops that draw attention to your small waist would look better. And then pairing the shorter tops with high waisted, wide leg pants would work great because the high waist again accentuates your waist and then the rest of the pants from the waist down should just skim over the larger parts of you (you mentioned your lower tummy was an area that you feel is big). A high waisted wide leg pant would be perfect to camouflage a bigger tummy and hips. I have a similar body shape as you and it’s sort of amazing how it works! Anyway, sorry for such a long comment😂 I subscribed to your channel even though we lead very different lives (I’m older than you -52- retired with no kids..so my life is much slower paced and not as hectic as yours). But I think I could learn a lot from you and enjoy your videos. I also REALLY respect and appreciate anyone who serves our great county in the military (AND their families- because you ALL make a huge sacrifice). So thank you! And please thank your husband for me as well! 🇺🇸

Thanks for the serious feedback! I appreciate it and enjoy talking to people. You are right about my body type. Shorter shirts do look better, but I never really thought about why. Ha! And I have no shoulders at all, so I did see a Trinny video where she said to balance out by wearing something with details to make the shoulders actually appear bigger, which makes sense with what you're saying. Thanks for following me too!
