Great review!!! I agree with so much you say about both albums!!! Me personally, I prefer the “original” production and most important, the reverse track listing on “upon the throne”. I think the slow doom start transcending into a minute of flat out madness on blissful bloodshower just sets the tone for how obscure and original the direction was going to be for this album. I heard “upon” before “mortal” as well but I got it the day it was released. Back in the day Onward To Golgotha was such an unheard quality of death metal. It really set a standard and I think till Craig left they were beyond the ideals of what death metal could sound like in the mid 90s. It was a good time to be alive 🤟🤟🤟
