You're a great teacher! I've forgotten some of these tips over the years, so I'm so thankful for the reminder. Seeing the application is so helpful, because we then get to mimic you as we try it ourselves. You're someone who got me back into makeup during the pandemic. Having started my 30's, my skin changed and became more dry, after being combo (but mostly oily) for more than 15 years,. You're videos inspired me, with the effortless looks you created, and your kindness and enthusiasm for makeup. Always keep creating!!
For sure more helpful to have you go through and show all of the tips rather than just talk about them. Ive been doing powder liner since i was in 9th grade beacause i was afriad of liquid and also prefer the softer look..im.grateful i was afraid of the liquid because its worked out well for me 😅 powder really is so easy. And so flattering.
I'm almost done with my first bottle of byoma milky toner. It has been a MAJOR GAME CHANGER FOR MY SUPER DRY SKIN!! I second these tips, I RARELY use primer now and it's so it doesn't expire and go in the trash!! ❤
Not sure how long she does but I wait till it ‘settles’ in or dries a bit. Sometimes I do my spf , brush my teeth , then continue with my makeup stuff and it seems to work.
@ so you all you have to do is wait until the sunscreen sets and then you can put toner on top? i was always scared it would mess up the efficacy of my sunscreen, thank you!!!
@ I mean, I don’t like drench my face but I generally use a sweat/ water resistant one so I never thought that a bit of toner would do too much. If I am in the direct sun or having a beach day I am reapplying my sunscreen regularly anyways so I am not doing too much makeup. I guess it depends on how much you are relying on the sun protection. I guess if you live somewhere super sunny you could always use an spf powder or foundation as well to make sure you get extra coverage.
YESSSS to the demonstrating the tips!!!! It definitely helps……On concealer tips I know you have hollows under your eyes but I have prominent bags under mine and could use some help 😎😎 Thank you for all your time!!
I learned so many useful tips, but also found I do many of them myself! Especially the concealer and eye makeup tips, I always follow the rule of light in the inner corner, to dark in the outermost corner and it's such a failproof method, it works every time and I always get so many compliments on my eye makeup using this method
The ELF Keep It Ethereal palette is so beautiful! Can't wait to see your review/thoughts on it! I just got mine in the mail a couple of days ago along with a few other items...shipping took a bit with the weather, but everything arrived in good shape. It really is a pretty palette with a great color story, clearly inspired by MBM. I'm not worried about calling it a "dupe," but I'm also not trying to pay that much for makeup these days either--I simply can't. ELF's palette is good quality for the price, and it's a great way to enjoy the color story on a budget!
It’s really pretty. I saw a review on it the other day and almost ordered it- I just had to be real with myself though because I don’t need it but sooo pretty
I ran out of my Ilia base so I got the wonder ceramide mochi toner and I love it! I also got the haruharu black rice toner in today! I haven’t tried it before makeup yet but I did try it on my hands and I think I’m going to like that one better than the other two!!!!!
this was jam packed w knowledge!!! btw do yo also use a regular hydrating toner in your skincare routine? which ones do you like? i could never give those up id use the milky toner on top of the traditional
Love love LOVE your content and tips. Just found you a couple months ago. Beauty lights are a bit bright, so it’s hard to see how the product actually lays. But either way. Thanks for doing what you do! :)
I also figured out the gamechanging hack that is hypochlorous acid before and after face shaving in 2004. I think the serum formula would be next level because of adding that extra slip. My skin does get a bit irritated when i go in dry. Im going to try the serum next time! I also always clean my razor with an alcohol pad before and after the shave itself. I know youve done videos before about concealer and hollows, but I'd love to see an updated take. I know you dont generally set with powder, but i have to because of my skin type. I'd love advice in that regard! Thats always a make-or-break part of my routine...which i get wrong more often than i get it right. Lastly, i love the milky toner tip AFTER applying sunscreen. I always do the milky toner in my regular skincare (huge fan of the milky toners for years!), but it never occurred to me to do it over my set sunscreen before makeup. I'm definitely trying that one tomorrow! I hope my skin looks just as gorgeous as yours! The way the toner "mixes" with the foundation gave you such a stunning glow! My skin is usually combo, but this winter, im really struggling with a combo of dry and flaking/pilling--especially around my eyes. I feel like my skin is just molting off my face whenever I'm doing my base lately. I cant tell you how many times I've ended up having to wash and start over trying to keep all the flakes and dryness fromtaking over because i turn into flakey-splotchy city. As a combo girl, the dry foakes are so foreign to me--its really done havoc to my routine! These tips are great--and i considered myself to have fairly decent skills prior to my skin's new idenity crisis. You've goven me a lot of new tweaks to try out. Such a helpful video. I look forward to the concealer deep dive! Thanks, Amanda!!❤❤❤
great question! safest way to utilize is to use within your skincare routine with SPF as last layer. Typically I'll add a thin layer to rehydrate if it is later in the day
Hi Amanda. I do appreciate that you show the tips IRL. Thank you ❤ I wonder why you (and all the other YT that I follow) use a lash curler when a lash lamination done well keeps the lashes curled for 5 weeks. In EU cost around 50 euros.
Yes concealer tips! Also more shaving tips, I do my upper lip no problem but this peach fuzz cheek situation makes all foundation and concealer look too obvious
Concealer video please! I got the Tower 28 concealer bc I have dry under eyes and it breaks up on the thinnest part of my skin. I need to know what I'm doing wrong 🙏
What I don’t understand is if you are going over your liquid blush and bronzer with powder blush and bronzer, wouldn’t you then be covering up the color you wanted from the liquid formulas? If I find a beautiful liquid red I love, I wouldn’t want to cover it with another product that will distort or completely change the color I was going for.
You would choose a blush that is basically the same color. But like she said, you’d only do this if you have problems with the staying power of your cream or liquid blush.
You can apply a powder blush with the same color or different and change the overall color. It doesn't matter. It's up to you. The idea of double layer is to increase endurance.
@@sweetnight_bwime too. It adds interest and dimension. It’s my go to to use cream/liquid blush and bronzer & then powder over top. Plus by the time I get setting powder on my blush and bronzer needs a boost. Sometimes I take a little shade of blush (in addition to all of that) and place it between my blush and the out 3rd of my eye.
I think you are fantastic! I would enjoy your content even more if you would try to finish your sentences with an intonation that doesn’t sound like a question. I am really not being a troll, the question intonation just drives me mad… And I do want to watch you, because your content is truly interesting! Please don’t be upset!
+1 vote for 10+ concealer tips! (including any tips for a concealer-only, no foundation routine, please! 🙏)

Concealer and eye priming :)
