For those who don't know, the reason the songlist is so large and epic is because Konami made this as a farewell release to DDR. Extreme was the last arcade release for years and had the game not blown up in popularity in the US, may have been the last arcade release ever. And honestly, the game has not been the same since. Look up the special video that plays when you fully unlock the game. It's an ode to the game's history and a farewell. I always found it sad because it was clear the original DDR team was saying goodbye for good. Edit: Here's the video - ruclips.net/video/KoFIZASc8XY/видео.html

I remember my brother had to crack our PS2 to play this game. He had to rip off the front compartment so he could insert a chip that opens up the disk slot. For some reason that would make the PS2 think the game disk was still in. We'd have a "cracked" game disk that we would start with, then insert that chip, then put the DDR Extreme Japan disk in and we could play this at home. Best time ever

Holy. This has to be the greatest songlist I've ever seen. I remember seeing some of these songs on the US version...but to be on the safe side, does the US version also have the old DDR songs (like Brilliant 2U, Afronova, Maxx 300)? If so, how many? I was never able to finish the game.
