    One of the best MTG videos I have ever seen. Brilliant time to content ratio (and expertly at that). Please more of those :)

    great video, as always! another good trick is to play the skill targeting nexus or surge still being a land and when you turn it into a creature it will have hexproof, avoiding more than one opponent's creature removals

    I've been playing hammertime in modern for 3 years now and was looking for a video to give my roommate because he's piloting my deck tonight. This video is FANTASTIC and i threw it his way immediately. You hit the points i was going to tell him so all i had to do was share the differences that my list provided.

    I just build my first hammer deck, this guide is gold ^^ It`s true that is a decision making deck, so knowing your list and gaining expertise is key to win games. I'll reconsider blacksmith's for creativity matches :)

    I know I'm a little late to the party here, but can someone explain the pithing needle explosives talking point at 4:56? Wouldn't you need to create the extra construct token before fetching for something as the Urza's saga would fizzle after the third chapter resolves? The way I understood the video, it is possible to name pithing needle and then make a construct afterwards which I didn't think you could do. Also, he said "third chapter, pass the turn without tapping" I have to assume he meant 2nd chapter right? Sorry if this is an obvious answer I am still learning the tiny little details of hammer that really matter like this one.

      It took me 10 hours to figure this one out on my own just by thinking about it...feels good that I figured out what you meant though lol

    • @kanister
      @kanister  Год назад +2

      It’s a bit of a tricky line, what happens this way you are forcing your opponent to make a decision first and you can make a construct afterwards if they decide to pop EE, but you are „missing out” on one if they don’t pop

    • @TNasty419
      @TNasty419 Год назад +1

      @@kanister Honestly, on my drive home from work I got more confused again. But what you're saying now makes total sense. In paper I imagine you would have to announce "Urza's saga triggers" and if the opponent does not pop EE you get to pull Pithing Needle before they can blow it up correct? This keeps you from getting another construct but saves existing constructs and strands their EE on the board. If they pop EE, your 0 drops go away, but you can make a construct, and fetch an alternate equipment. Thank you so much for explaining this, you have certainly earned another loyal subscriber!
