An unfortunate accident has left Quincey the Quaker parrot without a beak. What are your thoughts on Quincey's injury?
Nat Geo WILD what are my thoughts? Dr. K said herself that it would take a lot of force to injure the beak like that. I think the owner hurt him
I pray to God for its early recovery 😑😑👍👍
Poor little thing! Hope he makes but try everything first.
@@marylougreen9136 isn't this so sad. Made me cry 😥
Wow. So sad! Hope he makes it. Can't imagine what happened to this poor bird.
What or who could do this to a bird?
Awww poor thing and I know this was a long time ago but I think the owner is a wonderful owner
Kamryn Guzman
I think my pet parrots beak is broken. Or it’s trying not to get more pain
To all the staff there thank you for caring so much about animals. I love animals and I'm a groomer. I watch all your all's shows and just wonted to say you all go way beyond to help thank you again. God bless
This breaks my heart. I have quaker parrots of my own. Can't even begin to imagine the pain this bird is going through.
Now i gotta go check on my birds to make sure they’re ok
So sad. My heart is breaking for him.
The beak has obviously rotted away and when the bird touched Something or ran into something to beak fell off! There is an underlying health problem with the bird.🥺
oh yeah, that's obvious. wondering why the vet didn't mention that but maybe she did we just didn't see it in this clip- do you know if the bird lived by chance?
°
@@pokefan213 no, I'm not sure it's a shame for these darling birds!❤️
Who knows what happend woman isn't telling the whole story, and it's possible someone else living the house had something to do with it.
I've seen this injury in bird where keepers have tried to trim the beak and cut too far down and the whole beak shatters.
Its so easy to make a printed resin upper mandabil for the parrot, I've done this twice now once on a java Sparrow and a couple years later with a friends tawny owl. I'm just a bird breeder with no veterinary qualifications at all .The Java started eating the day after and lived a couple of years. My friends owl lived for another 4 years but took a couple of days to eat, but ate a small pinkie first then moved on to day old chicks 3rd or 4th day.
I’m not blaming the owner cause I just don’t know what happened but I just really want to know how a bird just loses its whole beak like that in a cage? And wouldn’t she have heard him screaming? I just wanna know the story
Birds don't stay in cages all day
Birds cant rlly talk with no beak cant they?
@Carla maji the bird wouldn't be able to say what happened though because Quakers can't talk and the birds don't actually know what the words mean they are just repeating what they heard
It could of easily hit or cracked it on something it bites as big birds seem to do. Doubt the owner did anything
@@Pinkfood technically speaking the bird mimics speech for example, my cockatiel named Starly says “what are you doing?” And “do you want a cookie?” Since he overheard me say that a lot so he picked that up from me so technically the Quaker parrot can’t say how he injured his beak since birds don’t speak like us humans say how we injure ourselves.
I’m a PROUD PARROT OWNER. This is so heart breaking to see.
This is so sad. I teared up. I'm a bird owner and this is so heartbreaking.
When I saw this, it breaks my heart as I have the same parrot species. I look after her like a father looking after his daughter. 😔
Poor bird. I hope he'll be living long.
I started watching this on Disney + and I got onto the 2nd season and they took it down. So now I have to resort to clips -.-
Wait this is on Disney+
@@leepihl it was
That’s weird
I have a parrot of this same kind.😢😲 Poor little thing🤕
Awwww! Poor little baby!! 😭😭💋💋💋
Poor thing, ouch 😖
Poor little angel 💔😭😭😭😭☹️😣😔 omg please keep a 🦜beautiful angel alive They deserve the best in this 🌎 they not like us human please 😭😔💔
He is so cute. I feel bad for him
So what up date?
thats too bad. I do remember a toucan that had a beak 3d printed. But I believe Dr. K. It's probably too small
How did this turn out? No update on the status of the bird.
@Mike Litoris Thanks for letting me know.
@@lorraineniece8813 what happened (they deleted their comment)
@@lustic1144 I'm sorry but I don't remember what Mike Litoris said. But my guess is that it died.
Poor baby 😓
Some videos like this only half..from where get the continues video????
I have baby nightjars and I didn't know where to put them so I put them with quiles and they beat them up and both tost the tip of there top peak so I give them peaces of boiled egg and then make them drink water so the eat the egg because they can't bite it
You can use a 3-D printer to make a NEW BEAK for the bird! And there are super glues that will keep it on!
Willie Daniels they can live without them.. prosthetics usually kill them
They said in the video that there was nothing to attach a prostethic to.
Poor baby 🥺
Ugh
Poor thing. ☹️
Poor little angel 🥹😞☹️ elevator🦜🙏 they do not deserve to suffer. They are the most beautiful caring, lovely babies in the world?
Does anyone know if Quincy made it?
If you have any clips about Scarlett the Red-Footed Tortoise from the No Wing and a Prayer episode, please let me know.
I need help for my birds. Please help me
I wonder if the beak wasn't brittle, from diet or something.
BJGvideos I was thinking the same thing

My mom had a parakeet crack her break flying face first into a glass door. Maybe something like that.
i feel so bad for the bird :(
Aww poor bird
Oh god my parents have a Quacker and this is so sad! Poor baby!!!
Ohhhhh my acking heart :(
if there was no blood the beak had probably rotted and pretty much became not part of the bird
How can he lose his beak
So sad😥😥😥
Hii i have African lovebird which I purchase on 15 march but i am observing that my female lovebird is not feeling well since 1 week like she sleeps alot even if we are around the cage or we talked to them than also she didn't not open her eye's like she only open when she is eating her food and after the bath but most of the time she sleeps pl reply
PH MY LORD!!!!
something shady with the owner
I agree that's exactly what I was thinking, what I'd like to know is why didn't she get the bird to the vet sooner??!!
@@beaknewcomer3835 I don't believe she had no idea what happened for a second. I think that beak was ripped off by another parrot, just like the vet said and there is no way there would have been no blood.
Looks like n end to w does life injury...how does an animal loose a beak? Looks like owner neglect....
What if happens to an Australian parrot
Where is he now???
.
😭😭😭😭😭😭
This is what happened after iggy was done with pet shop
😭😭😭😭
😭😭😭
Bird got into something he wasn't
😥😥😥😥😥💗 paulena love
Did the bird survive? 😭
0?
It can grow back. I read of a Barred owl who lost his upper beak in a collision with a truck, his beak grew back and he was set free
She said it is possible but not with this much trauma and so much of the beak removed.
Skeel Court it’s a Quacker not an owl and because owl beaks are smaller than quackers as well so we can only pray for this little birdie😢
No, it won't in this case. The damage is too severe. They grow back when a piece of beak is missing, not the entire beak.
Is there a way they could even give him a 3d prosthetic beak as they been doing for many birds ? It could help.
If you watched the video they already answered that
3D print a new beak!
And then? The vet said there was nothing to attach it to.
🥺😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😳😥😓😢😰por Parrot ;-;
I do not trust this human. She is NOT telling the truth.
Me either. There's another video of her 5 years ago with a lynx and she thinks it's ok to treat the poor baby as if they're a domesticated cat. She went to the vet to see whats wrong with him/her and she just seems odd! Im glad I'm not the only one who feels this way .
She didn't seem very concerned. I would've been hysterical, or at least very very worried on the video. Won't have such a lot of time for the make up and surely won't just say "oh my God" when the doc said we could lose him. It would break me as a bird owner
How does this owner have NO IDEA WHEN A BIRD IS SO DISFIGURED. HOW!? I NOTICE WHEN MY FISHGETS HYPER OR MY DOG HAS GUILT FACE. YOUR ‘BELOVED’ PET IS MISSING AN ENTIRE CHUNK OF HIS DAMNED FACE!!
That doesn't just happen. She probably stepped on him or something, she doesn't need animals, especially if she has no idea how it happened
If she stepped on him he would have eternal bleeding as well.
“He’s not a bird that’s gonna bite you!” Ahhhhh yeah, you think so?
The owner seems to have a very flat affect. I wonder why.
can't have a panic meltdown and drive to the vet at the same time (not without an accident anyway)
also some privacy for the owner they might've just not recorded that
😭
WTF happened to him...
Hard to say from just this clip. I do know though, that just like toddlers, birds are all too good at finding ways to injure themselves when roaming around the house. My guess is that a bigger parrot bit it off, or that Quincy got it caught in something like a heater vent and busted it while trying to get free.
Gotta say, not sure about the care given to this bird.. The owner is talking about things from 3 years ago and spreading the wing, while this birds temp is subtotal and is in critical condition..
Her story didn't make any sense, first he flew over and saw him with no beak but also him as a pet for years??
i knew a bird who was stupidly fed chicken and its beak fell off and then it died. kids are stupid sometimes
Just put romen in it 🍜
Greedy
just put the little guy down... The selfishness of human beings.. doesn't matter how much we may care or love our pets, but this is messed up to prolong the tormented bird...
Humans would spend so much time rescuing a bird during the day and kill a chicken(that is essentially also a bird)for dinner, very ironic!
Which is bred for eating
Carnism
suspended morals to eat some animals and love others.
This reads like a Donald Trump tweet
A L LMAO WHERES THE LIE
one's a pet and one's breed for harvest, and the one breed for harvest is typically of a breed that won't live over a year(even kept in lovely humane condition and a varied and balanced diet, they just have been breed to grow so fast that they can't live long)
First 😭😭
