I heard them live for the first time about 3 weeks ago and this song keeps coming back to me. It isn't one that radio stations play but I had heard....now I listen to it nearly every day! Keep rockin REO!
this is what keeps me- pushin' on- as it reminds me of the past and to not stop pushin' for a better future, you see you don't have to agree with musicians you just enjoy their music as it's their gift to the world !!!
@DStreb21 the electric rodeo show was actually in 1976, I remember it well, I was 15 and born in 1961 I had a T-shirt from it that got worn out but saw one for sale on ebay a while back. The line-up for the show was : Starz, Nils Lofgren, Renaissance, Heart, REO, and Johnny & Edgar Winter.
@MrDavidleslie Reo Speedwagon, Thin Lizzy and Climac Blues Band played two gigs in Alpine Valley back in 1978 26th, 27th August 1978 Best wishes from Peter
@Me4678 - Good luck with the finals!! I can understand how this song can help (along with a few much needed breaks.) BTW - it was great being a teen in the 70's with music like this.
The first line you are questioning is, "Goin' through all the changes, I made so many mistakes." That can't be about any operation because only the surgeon would be the one making mistakes. The second line, "Well, it's comin' together, I finally feel like a man," just means that he kicked up the effort and changed his life. He didn't need to have a pair attached. He just grew 'em, instead (grin).
@koko9900 The problem today is that, there IS good music, but you have to dig and dig and dig just to find it. People accept CRAP as mainstream music today. They push crap in the mainstream because its easy to duplicate and is cheap to produce massively. Such a shame that this generation will never know good music...
@Margala624, hang in there Margala, it will get better, sooner or later the Sun will come out again!! I myself have been unemployed for 11 months even with my Master's degree and my unemployment will run out in about two weeks unless there is an extension from Congress!! I thank God that my wife works as an engineer. One of the things that keep me Pushing On no matter how bad things get is the unconditional love that I get from my three beautiful canine daughters, Cuchi, Mama and Penny Lane!!
@MrDavidleslie my 1st time seeing them was in a bar in Urbana IL.... don't really remember a whole lot about that night other than the music rocked.... roflmao
Who needs Red Bull???? This is wonderful. Thanks for this great way to start any day!

I love this song!!! These guys were really great live. Sometimes bands even improve performing for an audience.
seen these guys in 2007 and they still sound kick ass. in this concert you can tell they were at their prime in 77.
first time i saw REO was in 78-79 and Rainbow opened up for them. helluva show.
