The Fast Johnny collection doesn't do anything for me, but I could see myself on a Highway King. Love the classic look and I'm still a sucker for chrome.
Cool looking for sure, like the magenta color best, and would ensure it had all LED lights and a chrome front end. Looks like here in the states 1000 in orange and 750 in red for some reason. Enjoyed your review.
Love this motorcycle, it’s very cool and looks useful. I’ve got a 2013 Softail Heritage Classic in blue and it’s a similar thing, although mine has the leather floppy non-lockable panniers. The seat looks interesting and I always loved the old Electra-glide plunger seat. Not sure I like the tinted lower section of screen, but the screen is fantastic and I love mine. My bike also has the same white walls and I’m a convert their too. My FLSTC is an extremely comfortable cruiser, allowing me to easily cover 700 km in a day, not bad for a badly damaged (car not bike) 70 year old. Many years ago I had a Softail 80 and loved it, and I’ve ridden the CVO 114. That thing had a great motor so I imagine the 117 might be better still. Also loved the new Electra glide. For some years I’ve been badly wanting to put a front fender bar on my bike. I just love them, but I’ve never been one to put things on my bikes that have no real function. The bike is otherwise stock and so this year I might just break tradition and do it. It’s not much weight, and I just want one so bad ! If I win the lottery, one of these new Harleys will be in my garage. But I’m keeping my old one.
Very attractive. Like the front end a lot, without the typical E-glide plastiglas fairing. Agree totally, Paul, that the orange is preferable. I’m a bit surprised at the price-lower than I expected.
I just bought, (two months ago) a 2022 FLHP, (police version) - has the 114 engine - essentially a Road King with special wiring for police use) new - for, (19,500 - US) with just 26 miles on it. It is loaded, has all the options - hill control, ABS, stealth lighting mode which can be activated/turned on by dealer for police use.
@@andyb8568 are you really gonna pay all that extra hefty amount for a little larger and heavier touring frame which has dual rear shocks instead of the superior preload adjustable monoshock?
Gorgeous machine! The one issue runs thru my mind is what would be the cost to SIMPLY custom PAINT an older Road King. I suppose the new forks, brakes, the 114 M8, LED lights (?), better rear shock (?) and the badging do bring extra value to the new bikes.
I’m rebuilding a 2004 Road King as we speak. I have the tins being painted right now. All custom work. $2500. I could have had them done for quite a bit less, but this will be a show quality bike when finished.
I just bought a road king in 21, and now I do wish I would’ve waited. The electra glide revival came out just after, and now the highway king. Damn it!
I've ridden so many bikes, but there ain't nuttin like a Harley. I wanna be burried in mine ... at some far distant date of course. I haven't heard of the _Highway King_ or the _Fast Johnny?_ collection. Thanks for the info. No thanks on the purple bike. S
It’s coming to Australia but only in the orange. Superb bike how to ride a Harley in comfort in style . Jet helmet and shades. Fast johnny(awful name) is a great paint scheme for this bike. Why should tall riders have all the fun? Just put in a lower set of springs or an electric height adjustment setup off a PanAmerican!
Nostolgic, but I ain't paying $30k for a Road King that can't even carry a passenger. Harley seems to have found a profitable niche selling collectable bikes to rich people. Meanwhile, they're taking a hiatus from providing bikes with any hint of value or usefulness to riders who do more than the occasional bike night.
Agreed….Granted that HD has always come at a $$ premium, however they seem to be now firmly positioning themselves and focusing upon the high disposable income “YUPSTER” set. Interestingly their global market growth is static (even declining in some regions) yet they are still delivering very significant and growing dividends to shareholders/ the boardroom… That’s all well and good… for now
I just purchased a new Road King Special. Not rich by any means. Work at an abattoir and am a single dad. Don’t drink smoke or do anything but ride. Yes fucking expensive but a very average man can still afford one provided his passion for bikes outweighs wasting money on all other luxuries 😁
Well it seems like a really nice package for solo riding . Some will afford this price at no problems is really what better could you spend your money on one of the few Joys in life, but I'm going to stick with my ultra glide the most comfortable and practical bike I have ever 200000 ks and running pretty strong 'and the motor is completely stock twin cam 07...PS it also cost of Fortune in the day, and I still have not found anything better that can do the job only complaint is the fuel tank is a bit on the small side cheers
Let's see.... the Highway King is basically a Road King that will be a limited production model with only two color options available. Powered by the inferior M8 engine that has yet to live up to the quality promises of the Rushmore project. Whisper quiet exhaust and an engine that is starved for fuel to satisfy EPA tyranny. All for the bargain price of around $35,000+ (and likely more) out the door assuming that no upgrades are ordered along with the base model. This is ~ $15k higher than what I paid for my Road King not that long ago. So this seems like yet another marketing ploy aimed at posers who have more money than brains. $35k for a weekend toy that will cost another few thousand bucks (assuming these wannabes even do their own wrenching) to get this motorcycle to run and sound like it should right out of the factory. Do you get a free "Hi, I'm an idiot" sign to hang around your neck as part of the purchase?
Beautiful
Thanks for the presentation. That sure is one beautiful motorcycle. Old school cool.
The Fast Johnny collection doesn't do anything for me, but I could see myself on a Highway King. Love the classic look and I'm still a sucker for chrome.
I love this bike so much in the orange
I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a special edition so much (except for that 1993 moo glide
Beautiful bike that brings back the past with modern features... well done Harley Davidson.......

HD has been busy reviving old models and making new and updated motorcycles. Can't wait too see what is next. Exciting times for enthusiasts.

I love the look of this bike. All Harley-Davidson needs to do now is add a matching sidecar and I'm sold. Great review. Cheers!
There is an aftermarket sidecar available for this bike

Where do you put your laugage? Or a pillion?
I would take that Electra glide over the fast Johnny collection any day. Now That, is a Harley I could see myself owning...if I win the lotto!
Buy a Softail Deluxe and put bags and a windshield and remove the rear seat, you have an Electra Glide Highway King and save a ton of money
Different frame.

Just wondering what it looks like with passenger seat???how is the set up??
Great looking bike
IS THERE A WAY TO LOWER SEAT WITHOUT CHANGING TO A DIFFERENT SEAT?

Putting 16" wheels and the short shocks are a step back. I do like the look especially the orange.
Love it I want one
Love it! I may have to trade in my heritage.
Those Highway kings will have a good resale value
They are getting closer.
Very nice ..👍🏻🇦🇺
EXCELLENT JOB WELL DONE DEAR SIR 👏 👍 😀 ...
I love the orange one.
I want one!

I want to buy the police bike and do very little to make it look like this.
Yes Sir we yanks do have 2 colors. However I can assure you these scoots will be sold long b4 they ever make it to the dealer!!!!
Id take either color!

It looks more like Harley is focusing on pensionairs. They have money and they have time to ride.
Are you referring to the "Breakfast oops I mean Breakout".That thing is 1 expensive bar hopper.

Good for you Jeff. Upmost respect..enjoy.
it speaks to me too... until you see the price LOL :) I wish I was rich

This is a Road King with left over Revival parts. $30K and HD still can't install LED's?
i am sure the person who bought this bike paying 100 000 usd will stay at a cheap motel like in the photos shown

Harley gets uglier and bigger Evo was the last good motor
Hmmm....way overpriced......just a fancy version of a road captain....only worth around 21 thousand not 32 thousand out the door
Mostly a panted if you changed anything you mess it up
